Day four has arrived. I've started to get into the rhythm of it a bit. A new day, a new task. This time; to name/describe my dream job. And I'll get straight to my (somewhat lacklustre) answer: I don't really have one.
It's a question you get pelted with as you grow up; either by family, friends or at school, it's all about 'what do you want to be?' Back then I didn't have a clear answer either. Some grow up with a clear goal, either because of a family member doing a certain job, or something in society that really speaks to them. I guess I didn't really catch that, for whatever reason.
Though it is to my advantage, in a somewhat cynical way: when you don't set expectations for yourself in this way, you can't be disappointed by them either. How many kids there are that end up disappointed because it's not that easy becoming an astronaut, doctor, lawyer or helicopter pilot, God only knows.
So I made my choices regarding the direction for my studies very gradually, purely on what interested me at the time, not through some intense aspiration for a certain job. And that way of settling it hasn't disappointed.
I hope the short answer is somewhat satisfactory. Maybe the next time I'll 'go rogue' on the question list if I can't answer it that well. We will find out next time; consider a like and a follow if you made it this far. Until the next one.
