When asked where I think I will be in 5 years, I quickly make a mental calculation of my age now and by then.
In five years, I will be in my service year(For non-Nigerians, this is a compulsory serving of the country a year after University education) Well, Cetaris paribus.
By then, I would have built my influence online such that my blog would be doing so well already that I won't have to worry much about the labor market and the struggle that lies awaiting freshly graduated youths.
Dressed in my khakis and sand boots, I see myself working on my networking within and outside camp and place of primary assignment.
I see myself have enough financial independence that would make the NYSC(Nigeria youth service corps) allowance a meager amount to me.
I see myself garnering more and more soft skills required to deal with the real world and a wider knowledge of things that may not matter to me now.
I see myself as an author of a book widely known for its ability to resonate with the hearts of the people and probably a little involvement in activism and politics.
All these and more, are all I envision myself achieving or doing in five years.
