Hoy quiero compartir una historia de amistad verdadera, de esas que una vez que inician duran para siempre, así es la amistad que tengo con Sioly.
A pocos días de celebrar el día de San Valentín me animo a participar en uno de los concursos en honor a esta fecha, que no sólo es para los enamorados sino también sirve para celebrar la amistad.

Mi amiga y yo nos conocimos en la universidad en el primer semestre. Recuerdo ese día con claridad porque a ella se le cayó un diente de los principales y así tuvo que asistir a clases, ella apenada de su imagen se mostraba nerviosa cuando empezamos hablar me sorprendió y empecé a reírme del susto que me dio.
Las dos reímos a carcajadas, eso la relajó y yo seguí burlandome diciendo que el día de brujas no había llegado, eso en vez de molestarla le causó gracia y así inició nuestra amistad. Realmente no se como ella aguanto mi comportamiento, yo en su lugar me fuera enfadado. Ahora soy más respetuosa y madura.
My friend and I met in college in the first semester. I remember that day clearly because she lost one of her main teeth and so she had to attend classes, she looked nervous when we started talking and surprised me and I started to laugh at the scare she gave me.
We both laughed out loud, which relaxed her and I continued mocking saying that Halloween had not arrived, instead of annoying her that made her laugh and that's how our friendship began. I don't know how she put up with my behavior, if I were her I would be angry. Now I am more respectful and mature.
Al pasar el tiempo nos hicimos inseparables, muchas veces me dio cobijo en su casa ya que la universidad quedaba lejos de mi hogar y no encontraba transporte a las 11 de la noche. Siempre le agradeceré esos gestos de amabilidad.
Además se convirtió en mi confidente, veía mi alegría y entusiasmo al iniciar alguna relación sentimental y luego era mi pañito de lágrimas al terminarla. Así se fue fortaleciendo la amistad y ya son 16 años que siento se pasaron volando.
As time went by we became inseparable, many times she sheltered me at her house since the university was far from my home and I couldn't find transportation at 11 p.m. I will always be grateful for those kind gestures.
He also became my confidant, he saw my joy and enthusiasm when I started a sentimental relationship, and then he was my little handkerchief of tears when it ended. That is how our friendship grew stronger and it has been 16 years that I feel have flown by.
Pero no crean que todo ha sido paz y armonía, somos de carácter diferentes y de opiniónes encontradas, ambas hemos tenido discusiones largas donde nadie gana, jejejej en las discusiones no hay ganador.
Tenemos gustos diferentes, personalidades distintas pero valores similares, respetamos las opiniones ajenas y toleramos las diferencias., podemos pasar años sin vernos, tal vez un mes sin comunicarnos pero cuando nos ponemos en contacto no sentimos ninguna distancia.
But do not think that everything has been peace and harmony, we are of different characters and conflicting opinions, we have both had long discussions where no one wins, hehehehe in the discussions there is no winner.
We have different tastes, different personalities but similar values, we respect other people's opinions and tolerate differences, we can go years without seeing each other, maybe a month without communicating but when we get in touch we don't feel any distance.
Si alguna vez tuviera alguna emergencia sé que si ella me puede ayudar lo hará y si es en caso contrario yo estaré para ayudarla, siempre le pido a Dios que la proteja y bendiga. Ella es la hermana que nunca tuve.
Si necesito una opinión objetiva sobre algo, un vestuario, un suceso o cualquier cosa no dudo en consultarla porque sé que siempre me dirá la verdad, no la que quiero oír sino la que aunque me moleste será su opinión sincera.
If I ever have an emergency I know that if she can help me she will and if it is otherwise I will be there to help her, I always ask God to protect and bless her. She is the sister I never had.
If I need an objective opinion about something, a wardrobe, an event, or anything I do not hesitate to consult her because I know she will always tell me the truth, not the one I want to hear but the one that even if it bothers me will be her sincere opinion.
Para finalizar les digo que la verdadera amistad transciende sin importar las distancias, el tiempo, la religión, la razas o edades, es un privilegio encontrar un amigo, es un tesoro que nos da la vida.
