I was scrolling through my feed few days ago and found out there's a new blogging challenge and the questions seem very interesting. The first part of the blogging challenge, I finished to the end but in the middle of the second part, I wavered. I got stuck on questions I didn't particularly want to answer which made me procrastinate for days and ended up falling out of the challenge eventually. I had to confirm if one could pick any of the challenge to answer and knowing I could do that, I'm back! 😁
So to my first question, dumbest thing I've done for love? I was going to brag about how I've always been a hard chick and won't do anything stupid for love but then I remember my secondary school days. We usually stayed back in school after closing hours on some Fridays to copy class notes that the teacher reads out to us. Prior to any day we'd be staying after closing hours, our teacher would let us know so we can give our parents the notice.
I think for this particular Friday, it was an impromptu after school class so my parents had no idea I'd be home late.
The notes we wrote that day was so long and kept us in school for about 4 hours. When we were done, on my way out of school, I met my crush rushing inside and he stopped me. He hadn't stayed back for the after school class so he came back to borrow my notebook. He pleaded seriously that I borrowed him and he'd have it right back on Monday morning.
I didn't intend reading the notes but it didn't feel right to give him when he should have stayed back and gotten the notes himself like everyone else. Plus I was supposed to have that as proof to my parents that I actually was in class.
I was a fool for love. How could I have said no to my crush? I gave him the notebook. When I got home I met my dad at the door, he asked where I'd been, I said at school writing notes. He asked for my notebook, I told him I gave it to a classmate. Next thing, he greeted my left cheek with a thunderous slap and my ears had a fill day from all the talk I got from my parents.
I had to give them my teacher's phone number to call and confirm I really was in school.
And that's the dumbest thing I ever did for love (infatuation).
