I was literally almost in tears before I started writing this post. Why?, Well apparently, made me realize things aren't always what they seem, when things go missing it could be your fatass son responsible for it, hahaha.
I thought that was enough until I stumbled on 's JJC campus experience and this time I'm sure the tears actually ran down my cheeks, ðððĪĶ. Reading her story took me back in time to my own experience, and I'll be sharing it with you.
Some few days back, when I actually went to get my voters card done (I was dragged by the neck by my roomie to follow him). I was actually adamant at first because I know how things are done in my country and I don't like stress, but I went anyway. We got there 7:30 am and met a crowd, phew, my mind got spoilt immediately.
Then after waiting 4hours without being attended to, we were told that they had only 5 forms available, when we were nearly 100 then and more people were coming. They finally decided to give out these 5 forms to people to go photocopy. I went with them, and after walking we eventually got it done and we went back. We got there to realize that a new set of new people had already been issued new forms, ahan, where did this new set of forms come from?, I was pissed.
Clearly, I was angry, standing at a corner angry when someone walked up to me, I recognized him as someone I knew in school, someone from my faculty. We exchanged greetings and he asked me if I knew who he was. Obviously I said and then he went on to say that I was quite popular ( I knew that already). Then he said something that actually got me embarrassed. Before I tell you what he said I'll tell you my own campus experience.
In my second year in the university, I particularly hated this year because it was full with a lot of work and lots of construction drawing which actually were quite stressful and we ended up spending nights in our drawing studio. It had been a routine. On this particular day, I'd spent the night drawing through the night and since we had a 7am lecture it was actually like killing two birds with a stone, because I actually lived off campus and it was far.
I woke up exhausted, barely getting any sleep and when I was about to go get my notebook, something weird happened. Sleep spoke to me, Bro, c'mon, you know you've not had enough of me, pls stay with me in the sweetest voice ever and I fell.

Minutes later a colleague's hand was on my shoulder depriving me of paradise. "Guy, wake up, that class is about to start and you know that man takes attendance seriously". I got up grudgingly and picked up my book to go and I could hear sleep's voice again, don't leave me, don't leave me, don't leave me!!, but I left, without looking back.
We got to the hall and the lecturer arrived 1hour later with the best of smiles on his face. He was a short man, escaping being a midget only slightly, and after making some funny introductions he started his lecture. It was on estate valuation, I had chosen a nice spot to sit, secretly, sleep didn't give up, he was still with me.
The man started telling stories of his past experiences, about properties he'd valued and sold successfully and non of it was on the syllabus. His voice so rhythmic and I found myself floating, this time I was sure I was wearing red and on my way to paradise. Yes, it was beautiful, they were big breasted angels surrounding me escorting me all the way. I got to the gate and some big ass angels facing the gate turned and stretched out their hands. I smiled and started to run towards them and I was sure I'd almost touched the one with the thickest ass when I found myself falling.
Something had dragged me down so fast that in a twinkle of an eye, I was face to face with a monkey with white hair, the monkey was so close up to my face that I thought he was going to kiss me. I smiled and it said something, then I heard laughter, then something tapped me, again and again, I was still staring at the monkey when sleep left me, and immediately I realized it was my lecturer's monkey...no, it was actually my lecturer's face.
Then I heard laughter again, this class was a combined class, it was a faculty course and different departments came together to do it, we were almost 200 and the hall was clearly filled up. I adjusted immediately I got to my senses and the short midget lecturer looked at me again for a few seconds then he asked me to stand up, I did. Then he made to leave and start lecturing but pushed in his steps, he turned and looked at me again.
Without saying a word he looked he took me to the front of the class. Then, he asked me what my name was, I told him. He then motioned for me to shout let the whole hall hear me, well, I did. The hall was silent, then he said something that got me confused. He looked at the class and asked, " isn't he beautiful??", No one answered, then he asked again. Then different answers came, some saying yes and others I couldn't make out what they said.
Then he went on, *" He is surely beautiful, he's the most beautiful student I've taught in my 10years of teaching", the hall became perfectly silent. By this time, my teeth couldn't close anymore, I was beaming from ear to ear, giving small waves to the find girls staring at me.
"Can't you see his fine legs, and his farmer shorts, with his well combed hair...." He went on, I looked at my legs and I knew it was anything but fine, and I knew my hair was rough, and God, the whole hall burst into laughter, the same beautiful girls that had looked at me with adorable eyes, were the same a ones laughing at me, some were pointing and some were sending texts on their phones in my direction.
I couldn't bear to look at them anymore, my head fell on my chest. Then, he held my hand and walked me down the hall in full display. After that, he finally said, " you're an embarrassment, how can you come to an early morning class wearing shorts and palms?, Do you think your parents would be happy knowing they had wasted their money on you?.."" He went on but I couldn't make out what he was saying again, I was drowned in embarrassment and I almost wished I had listened to my sleep. Then he sent me out of the class, with no hope and my whole self esteem shattered.

Fast forward till what the guy (at the beginning was saying). He said he was in the class the day I was paraded by the Lecture and he couldn't forget my face and name since then, and that was three years ago. According, to him that was what made me popular (and there was i thinking it was my sleek dance moves and videos that got me the girls) in school.
