It's another opportunity to look beyond the surface of a lot of things that have been used to deceive us since time immemorial. Last time I set the template for the redemption of you lot from the shackles of ancient deceit, paraded as wisdom to the unsuspecting public. Let me state again that this isn't solely to help you people, it is more an intellectual flex on my own part. It is an attempt by me to display my mental capacity to decifer what most people down history lane have not been able to figure out.
Let's start with a very popular one where whoever was high on whatever claimed that "a problem shared is a problem half solved". I'd like to hear from anyone here who's had their problem solved from just telling it to someone. Because the only thing I've ever got out of experimenting with it was constant heartbreak.
I remember once sharing my problems with a friend who later became a radio presenter. Everytime he's discussing an issue on the radio and then goes like "There's this my friend", my heart skips because I know that my problem is about to be used as a case study over something that doesn't concern me in any way.
That quote must have been crafted by one of these depressed nerds who have very few friends and no fun in his life, so he tried to get people to tell him about their problems in a bid just to keep himself entertained, or by an aspiring AOP (like my friend), who's just looking for possible topics for their show. Either way, it's not a worthy motivation but a manipulative scheme by friendly enemies who just want to use your adversity for personal gains. In truth, "A problem shared is a problem that remains your own and is a topic for gossip".
Another fallacy is the popular motivational quote that "if you can think it, then you can achieve it". Let's start with the fact that this is scientifically wrong as science has proven that the mind is never truly dormant and thoughts are always passing through it. So imagine that all the thoughts in your heart always came to pass.
Now you can imagine what you would've been. Imagine that every time you could conjure up a picture of yourself as a millionaire, you earned millions, or that every time that you could imagine Ye wanking to one of his gospel pieces, it came to pass. Or perhaps you're like me and could imagine all the things you would do with Beyonce on a cold harmattan or winter night.
What if all those little elusive random thoughts in your mind came to pass and people could really see what goes through your mind at every point in time. The little "I wish that I could fuck her", "damn, you're smelling", and the little "fuck you dad/mom". Now imagine that you have an African parent and they saw that last part. Hell hath no fury like what you'd experience.
Then there's the one I ran into earlier today that says "when you have a dream, you've got to grab it and never let go". Lol, can you imagine the man who made this kind of statement? Okay, now just imagine that you're sleeping in the middle of the night, then you have a very special dream where you're a billionaire.
Then imagine that you stretch out your hand and grab that dream from the dream world, you hold onto it with all your might even when you wake up, you strangle it and make sure it never escapes your grasp and you go through the rest of your life with a contracted fist holding onto a dream that no one can see but only you. All they're trying to tell you is to become mad all in the name of trying to motivate you. Don't fall for it, leave dreams in dreamland, unless you're a fortune teller.
Let that be that for now, as I believe that this revolution of your mindset is going to be gradual. I know that eventually y'all will be liberated and you will all thank me for it. So you're welcome and you can mention it in advance.
