When you stay with kids, you'll come to know that there are levels in committing a crime. You don't necessarily have to rob a bank or assault someone and all the likes of it before you can become a convict.
To them,a crime can be anything.
I mean, anything
And the worst part of it all is that they already have lawyers standing by,waiting for you to be dragged thoroughly without mercy. I'm talking about their parents. The thing is, they want to show you that they're always right and you're wrong,even if you're right,youre still wrong and before you know it,your hands are behind your back and you're being taken away to serve your sentence,again without mercy.
You cannot be mean to them, especially when their parents are within sight that's an unwritten law. The day you open your mouth to say that dreadful word "No", they'll make sure to drag you until you apologize,pay a fine,loose all your possessions and they'll still not forgive you,very mean set of people.
When I was a kid,my parents taught me that you have finish your meal first before you can have your beef,fish or whatever goodie that comes with your food. You dare not begin your feeding period with having a piece of beef for whatever reason,either as a bribe to make you eat or whatever reason at all. You have to eat your food first.

That's not even my problem
My problem is how do I explain to this little girl, barely 2 years of age that she must follow that rule whenever she eats with me, without gettimg dragged to the supreme high court. She loves to eat with me, I'm fine with it apparently she's my neice I have to be fine with it. But I'm not fine with the fact that she always scrambles for my beef and fish first each time we eat. Infact the problem gets worse when her mom is around.
Whenever it's time to eat,she already know that I'm going to give her a bombastic side-eye if she ever tries to take any beef without eating first. So whenever her mom is arounf she makes sure to get what she wants. After several series of "eat first before having the beef",of course she's not taking "No" for an answer. She'll start humming,a sign that she's going to cry if you don't give her what she wants. Ignoring her, I'll continue eating my food
If she's not hungry yet that's not my problem
Seeing you're not giving in,she starts the open-mouth hum, you're literally looking at someone preparing to bawl her eyes out.
Well, it's not my problem,when she's hungry she'll eat and I continue eating my food sometimes even bitting out of the beef to make matters worst. That's when she lets out this high pitched deafening scream and the mother comes running out.
I'm already expecting to hear "please allow her to have the beef first if she wants to"
Now you can see her smiling and giving that look
So now,each time her mom is around she's the superheroine wnd I'm the villain.
But not on that particular day,I decided we're going to switch roles. She,the villain and me,the superheroine
We started another episode of "eat your food first" and after so many back and forth,she accepted defeat and started to eat her food Of course there was no lawyer around to drag me to court. I'm the boss now.
We had barely finished eating when the bell rang
It couldn't possibly be her mom or her dad,infact I wasn't even expecting them so happily headed to get the door.

The moment she heard her mom's voice she started crying
Aghhhhhhh🙆🙆
Why are you crying right now, we were cool few seconds ago
"Why is she crying?" Her mom asked my confused self
"I don't know,we were just eating before I came to answer the door" I explained and she gave me this look that says'I don't believe you'
"Emilia,why are you crying" Her mom asks her,at this point,she's wailing like a widow and pointing at me
Me?
What did I do?
"Nothing!" I half shouted
With each time I say 'I didn't do anything to her',she increases the intensity of her cries making it more unbelievable for the lawyer around
Now it's either I explain that February only has 28 days not 31 or I go to jail. Either ways, I'm still going to jail.
