Do you know the game - hide and seek?
It was my favourite game during my childhood, I had so much fun playing that game with my siblings and our neighbors' kids back then. I remember when dad started working late and left myself and my siblings alone in the house, the game became our everyday fun.
But guess what! It is one of the worse games I won't want to play again...
Why, you asked?... Something happened back then that I can't seem to forget, I regretted ever falling in love with hide and seek games. I guess it was the first breakfast I served (like break up in relationships) π
What happened was that... After so many days of playing this game with our friends, we decided again to play it on a particular day. Dad had gone to work like always but he was very specific of asking me to look after my younger sister who wasn't feeling too well that day.
As a good elder sister as always, I agreed to take care of her giving my dad full assurance. And I was doing it perfectly until my heart started yearning for the game again... Let's play hide and seek game!!! I announced.
My sister was so reluctant to join saying she wasn't strong enough but I used my superiority on her to join... Having her join the game was the only way not to make her report me to dad when he comes back π she was the reporter in our house back then.
So yeah! As every other day, we gathered to play my favourite game and it was going fun as it had always been until the last round where we couldn't find my sister π³ like we searched for her for hours but she was no where to be found.
I knew I was in trouble so I started the cry early enough...
Dad came back from work in the evening, about two to three hours after I noticed my sister was missing. I couldn't tell my dad I was looking for my sister then I discovered my younger brother was another upcoming reporter in our house π©π
Dad found out about it unfortunately before I could find her, he shouted and promised to beat the hell out of me if he doesn't find his daughter... At that point, I was so angry with my sister and at the same time wishing she would just show up somehow to reduce my punishment.
Our neighbors joined in the search, it was like we were all a rescue team in a jungle...
I could see how upset my dad was and everyone was blaming me for letting a sick child play games, I didn't care but just kept wishing to see my sister again. After another hour of searching, my sister came out of our house π
Everybody was surprised! I was shocked as if I had seen a ghost. She walked to hug my dad and was like "Dad you are back, welcome" like nothing happened!!! π³ Where were you? My dad asked still looking surprised.
I was sleeping under the table...
My sister replied rubbing her eyes with her hands (It was obvious she had been sleeping)
So my dear sister we've been searching everywhere for, was lying comfortably under a table (her last hiding spot during the game). She was really sick and she is one that loves sleep a lot so sleeping that long was no surprise.
Please don't ask what dad did to me for neglecting my sister's health... It was less than I had expected so I didn't learnt my lesson the hard way ππ
But from that day, ludo game became my favourite game π
Thanks for going through one of my crazy days during childhood, I hope to share more as time goes on. This is my entry to The COMedy Rumble I'll like to invite and
to join in.
