Earlier today, I was just thinking about what I needed to post because I'd been so low on content for the past few days. So I decided to write about this in the hopes that it might make someone smile.
1. Traveled by air
If you're surprised, I totally understand. After all, who hasn't flown in 2022? Please leave a comment if you're like me, so I know I'm not alone.
If you were to ask me why I've never flown, I'd probably have no definitive answer. When you look at me, you see a tough face, and you assume that I am a HARD GIRL, but on the inside, I'm simply as soft as foam.
I'm scared of virtually everything, which is one of the reasons I still don't know how to swim or ride a bicycle. I don't know how to somersault, nor do I know how to backflip.
Don't misunderstand me. I was on/in an aircraft for a specified purpose, but the plane never took off.
To help you understand, here's a photo of me chilling on a plane.
And here's another photo of me in the same plane.
Every time it comes up in a discussion that I've never been on a plane, my friends look at me as if I'm some laid-back person. I know you're laughing at me. Please stop it, lol. The craziest part is that I was meant to travel by plane last year, but I made up excuses so I could travel by road the next day.
Imagine choosing to travel 4–6 hours for a journey that would have taken me about an hour by air, if not less.
2. Kissed in public
You'd have to point a gun at me for me to publicly French kiss a man in public(kidding about the gun though!). I'm big on PDAs, but I'd prefer to stick to the basics—holding hands, embracing, and back-rubbing.
Writing this piece sends me down memory lane, as I recall someone attempting to kiss me in public in front of a large crowd. At that time, the only thing I wanted to do was simply vanish!
I'm not sure what gives people the guts to shove their tongues into each other's throats in public. Just how?!
3.Driven on a major highway
I mean, I've taken a lot of driving lessons, but I've never truly allowed myself to put my skills to the test on a big highway. I'd rather settle for lonely streets close to my house. I recall how crazy it was the first time I started because I would always wait for an incoming vehicle to drive by my car before moving any farther. Every time I spotted someone on the road or in the street, I would always put my legs hard on the brake to avoid hitting them.
I'm not sure when I'll start driving on major roads, but I do know that driving in Lagos requires a certain degree of madness, and I don't believe I have the required level of madness. Will I ever have to go on a major highway? I don't even know the answer to this one.
4. Danced with a man in public.
Where I come from, men are more accustomed to dancing in this one pattern, which is to stand behind a lady and rock her bum. It was never my thing since I was such a self-conscious person. It is still not my thing. I admire people who don't care about their surroundings, what others think of them, or how they choose to dance in public.
I admire folks that don't care about their surroundings or what other people think of them or how they choose to dance in public.
By 'dance', I'm referring to extremely seductive dance routines with jiggly bums everywhere. Phew! The funny thing is that I've never actually tried that with a partner in public, but I hope that sometime in the future I'll be able to dance with my partner with reckless abandon in public or private.
Please share yours!
Meanwhile, don't be like this man after reading my post!
Be like this!
🤣🤣
PS: This is my first post in this community, and I’m not sure it’s funny enough. Regardless, I thought I'd share it here because it made me laugh.
