It was a Saturday, I was at home washing my clothes preparing for the Sunday ahead cause I'll be going to church, when my friend walked in and told me that he had the strangest of dreams, he explained that in his dream he was walking around in the street and came across the area where traditional worship takes place and he kind of walked pass he front of the place and his name was called and he did not see anybody in the place in his dream so now his scared that his name was called in a dream.
I just looked at him and laughed, I was like guy it's just a dream we nor dey pass there every time, but this guy was just acting worried and began to sweat normally that guy dey sweat on a norms so I didn't quite catch what was going on, well there won't have been a way for me to even grab cause this guy placed his part so well.
After watching I decided to follow his down there so he faces his fear and realise that it was just a dream and nothing bad is going to happened, on our way going a over heard some kids talking about a Parrot that was newly brought to the area I was curious to see it, cause I've seen Parrots on TV and heard lots of stories about it but never have I seen it in real live.
On reaching the place we decided to walk pass, and for some reason my friend used our native greeting which was "MIGWO" and to my suprise I heard "VERDO" I looked around I did not see anyone there, I immediately picked my slippers and ran as fast as I could my friend stood there laughing, while running I looked back he was still there laughing, I then stopped and looked at him I shouted 'Obas why u dey laf, run come na', at that point I just know say na setup he called me back and slowly walked there then he showed me the Parrot cage hanged at the top of the wood holding the roof, okay I saw the cage but it was covered and I thought it was all those things that were used for drying meat and fish that's why and out greeting meant am on my knees than I heard so one saying that get up what was I supposed to do and Parrots are supposed to mimic sounds not say them, I was really shocked and angry at my friend for doing that to me, but we settled sha.
And that was how I say my first Parrot in RL.
