Christmas is one of the long awaited seasons everyone prepares so much for, people even start making preparations for Christmas beginning from January every struggle from January to November is mostly for Christmas celebration and then a little part for new year. Some people even go to the extent of borrowing, selling most of their valuable assets just to belong to the class of the doing guys. Then after the whole show of Christmas celebration is ended the drama of lack and hunger will now hit and January has its own way of showing us shege.
What most people don't understand about this festive season is that it's just a one or two weeks activities that will either keep you in debt or put you in surplus
One of my uncle's came back to the village for Christmas. He was spending money going to every event in the village and dropping cash. I believe a lot of our village guys went into depression because of the way Baba was spending money. After the whole one to two weeks Christmas has ended everyone was expecting him to travel back everyday he will bring up one excuse or the other why he hasn't travelled yet mean while oga don spend all his cash he didn't see money again to even buy fuel to transport himself back to the city at the end of the matter my guy sold his car just to get transportation money (Hahaha) he even left his family in the village
One of my friends borrowed some clothes and shoes even handbag to the village to show off and flex, flexing was going well until the day she was supposed to come back and she was painfully informed that her cousin that travelled a day before took most of her belongings including the borrowed clothes and shoes my friend used her two months salary to pay for the clothes the story of how she suffered for complete three months is one for another day
So my brothers and sisters follow this my little piece of advice and know peace
HOW TO SPEND AND SAVE THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON
ā Build your budget (Make a list of things you need): Know exactly what you want and need for the xmas, write them down and work with what you have, you don't need to live above your budget to impress someone. Make a list of what you really need and don't be carried away by what you see in the market square, always work with what is in the list and if there should be a crossing it should be just few things
You will see a lot of people flexing and showing their wealths don't try to emulate them because you don't know their budget, that 's why it's important to work on your own budget and not on others'. Imagine living in a budget of 20k while your total income is 10k ( you will see shege by January )
ā Create a spending limit : It is of utmost important that you create a spending limit, a limit where you tell yourself "ok I think I have reached my limit of spending or I think I have spent enough it's time to put a check" When you don't create a spending limit you might end up borrowing to meet up a need, look at what happened about the guy that sold his car just to have transportation fee back to where he came from, if he had understood his limit he could have stopped spending when he noticed his money was going down but because he was carried away and not observant enough he spent till he was stranded.(Am not sure if he will come back for Christmas this year š) So know when to stop going flexing this season and enjoy the comfort and company of your home and family members. No go dey over do, don't try to impress your village people if not you will see (Shege pro max)
ā Work with cash : Leave the money in the bank for the bank and stick to the one you withdrew for expenses like food , fun, decorations, clothes if possible label each money for what it is meant for at least it will help you not to overly spend and help reduce the surprises in your bank account statement or debits come January
When you have withdrawn a specific amount for xmas it helps keep you in check. One important thing about working with cash is that after the whole expenses you will still have some money in your account to fall back to. At Least you would have to be washing plates in the kitchen when others are travelling back from where they came from hahaha then you shege promax will increase to shege pro max 14
ā Work from home : A Lot of persons during xmas close their shop and all their avenue income just in the name of celebrating, even in your celebration let your source of income be open oh yes you can always work from home whether online or off business still have your business going on so that as your money is going out on expenses it's coming in from your business
This is the importance of online activities at least you get to work at the comfort of home even in this season but don't go and eat shit for Yahoo money, be legit
IN CONCLUSION
Make plans ahead of time and stick to it
Don't enjoy all the whole fun package for this festive season and forget that theres a month called JANUARY, a month that if you are not careful you will suffer hunger for some period of time so spend wisely, create an avenue of income and most importantly remember to give out to the needy no matter how little it is. Christmas is all about giving aa God showed his love by giving his only begotten son for the salvation of humanity we should also show back our love this season by giving to the less privileged
And most important.... Spend quality time with your family and friends there's no giving that's most valuable than the giving of time enjoy the company of your love ones but don't be extravagant on your spending
MERRY CHRISTMAS IN ADVANCE
ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF THE SEASON
