My school recently brought out a rule that says students are prohibited from putting on shorts. Whether it was a short skirt, gown or trousers I had no idea and the length of how short the shorts could be was not made known.
Today, I happened to be a defaulter" (so the security personnel said😂)
If I should be specific, my Ankara trousers were an inch above my knees and this personnel called that a "short knicker"
If only I could lecture him on the difference, he would hate me the more.
Well, I couldn't have the strength to argue with him so I just his presence and the gate.
Halfway away from scene, I returned to the gate to meet him
"Sir, that I left your presence doesn't mean you have won. No!
If I stand here with you, I would point out at least five girls that their skirts are more that two inches above their knees, but you'd allow them pass through this gate because it's a "skirt"
But I wouldn't do that
God, No! That's demeaning to my personality
I'm leaving your presence because I have a test that I am running late for at the other campus and staying here with you would only take away that time I don't have
But I wanna say this,
I will enter this school today and when I do that, I will call your name from the other side to tell you; "I told you so",
And there's nothing you'd do about it."
Ha! This was just my imagination!
If only I did that.
