My uncle and his son came visiting yesterday at an early hour just at the same time I was tryna clean up the house. I had my mop with me and had prepared the music box to give myself a good vibe until my joy killers arrived. I had to suspend cleaning the living room and went upstairs to do the cleaning there starting with my room.
My cousin, who can be very annoying most of the time, followed me saying he wanted to stay in my room while I cleaned it. I said no to him plus I didn't want any child running around but as stubborn as his father, he refused to listen (It's in their bloodline).
The boy started running around the room, from picking my books, to my clothes and trying them on. You can actually imagine🤦. It was getting annoying and I warned him to stay out of my way but he refused to listen. He even told me that the water on the floor made him feel like he was ice skating.
I smiled at his genius speech and decided to help his ministry by adding more soap to the water. I'd take the mop without squeezing the water out and put it on the floor. He found it really interesting to keep running around the room, stamping his feet. From making splashes to sliding. He didn't know what was gonna hit him soon.
The room was completely wet and extra slippery and I knew that with his increase in sliding pace, he was gonna have a great fall soon enough. I took the mop out to clean the rest of the place, my eyes still fixed on the stubborn kid, the next thing I heard was a loud thud.
He sounded like Humpty Dumpty when he had a great fall even though I wasn't there to witness it, I knew it was the same thing. His butt was on the floor, I peeped from the door to see if he was gonna cry, he kept looking back to see if anyone was coming but found no one so he sat there squeezing his waist and grunting like an old man inhaling snuff. He couldn't see me because I was hiding, I didn't want him to cry.
I almost let out a roar of laughter when I watched him hold his waist struggling to get up. He looked like a man in his 90s struggling to get on his feet. He groaned silently. When he was finally up, he bent his waist and turned his neck to see that his beautiful denim shorts had been soaked with soap water. I watched him groan in pain of seeing himself look messed up. That was when I walked in as if I didn't know what was going on.
Immediately he saw me, he lifted my teddy that was on the bed and feigned not being fit to lift it up. "This Teddy is heavier than Ruby", he said trying to hide his wet pants and pain. "Oh really, a teddy weighs more than your sister huh?" O,o,of course" he stuttered trying to walk away. "Why is your short wet?" I asked him with curved lips that showed I was somehow pleased but the ten year old didn't seem to notice. He turned to look at me with a feign smile and said "I slipped". I laughed and he laughed too even though he was in pain which was obvious as tears began dropping from his eyes then he stormed out of the room still holding his waist like a boy who just got forcefully disvirgined.
His professional skating skills had been rubbed in the mud. How can he skate on my floor?
There was a time he visited my house and he went to my room even after reading the instructions on the door that said don't enter without permission, he got in there and poured out all the toys that I had neatly packed to give out. When I got home later in the day, he was gone and my room was a total mess. I panicked on where to start my clean up from.
He's worse than my niece I must say and he has no respect at all so maybe he deserved the Humpty Dumpty fall, just that he didn't lose his body parts to the fall. I wished he was a toy so his hands, head and everything that was fixed to a joint would scatter to the ground and then the rhyme would fit him perfectly🤣.
I went down to meet him after having a good laugh, I hugged him and made sure he felt better and we became friends again.
