Y'all be screaming how horror films are horrific whether or not you saw the film alone or with someone.
Have you ever seen a horror film in the afternoon and after that you took a nap then suddenly dreamt about the film and it's scenes spiced up in the dream and when suddenly you jerk awake, it's evening already, your room is completely dark except from the faint light that peeps in from the window and then you just can't leave your bed for fear that something is actually in your room waiting for you to get up so it can blow your head open?
If you've ever experienced that, that's the real horror. I saw a horror film after going through the movies and TV shows community, a movie reviewed by the grudge got me and I decided to check Netflix for it. After watching that film I don't know where this sudden sleep came from and I slept only to dream where I was re-creating what I had watched earlier in a more horrific manner. I was attacked, I had to fight for my life even though I lost my voice and my knees were completely numb. I couldn't run as fast as I would in the real world
In the movie, the protagonist Detective Muldoon at least could burn the house down but in my case, I was weak and totally brutalized. The moment I was almost chopped to death was when I jerked awake back to the real world.
I was sweating like someone that just ran a mile, the first thing I did was pinch myself to know if I was really alive. The pinch did hurt so I raised my hands in the air and gave glory to God. My room was completely dark as I had slept into the evening. The sun had set and the sky was dark already. I couldn't get out of my bed. I just couldn't, especially when I heard something move in the bathroom. It was terrifying so I lay there quietly without switching sides. All I could for myself was turn on the flash of my phone for illumination while I stared at my ceiling trying to remember how I escaped the cursed house.
Horror is when you watch or read a gothic and then recreate it in your dream one weird thing is that you're always the victim. They never give a chance for one to be what he or she wants, you're always the victim, always the one chased, always the one to be stabbed with a knife except you're Jet Li of course and you can fight even in your dreams without your knees getting weak or you losing your sweet voice. Nightmares suck a lot😩.
