The electronic musician I want to introduce to you today, is propably the most underrated and unknown imaginable.
Its the Canadian artist Altus ( aka Mike Carss ), lately also publishing under the project names Burlorke and Loneward
If you happen to know him already - lucky you! Not many people do, as the ridiculous click numbers and subscriptions on YouTube show.
And that, despite the high quality and level of professionality his productions have since 20 years - and that they are all free to download from his website - http://www.altusmusic.ca
If you don't know him, listen to this track, one of his all time greats that he has published in various versions between 2002 and 2017, called "Winter Embrace". The one I have picked, "Winter Embrace III" is from 2008 and my favourite version.
"Winter Embrace" has a strange effect on me. It captures me and calms me and takes me away on a journey. And at the end of this journey it seems the destination of everything is reached, that there is nothing left to do. A peaceful state of mind. Which is a little bit scary as well, afterwards.
