1. La gobernanza en Hive y por qué participar activamente

Todos los que de una u otra forma hemos hecho de Hive nuestra plataforma preferida, ya sea por sus elementos sociales o financieros, tenemos una responsabilidad. No creo ir muy lejos al enunciar esa responsabilidad como la de contribuir (de una forma u otra) a mantener en el tiempo la existencia de la Blockchain de la que nos beneficiamos.
Ya que lo tuyo sea publicar como si no hubiera un mañana, o exprimir cada centavo posible a ese APR del 15 % sobre los ahorros en HBD (o cualquier otro interés posible), me imagino que tengas el interés en continuar haciendo lo que sea que hagas. Una forma de aportar tu granito de arena es votar por los witness o testigos y por las propuestas del DHF.
Además de contribuir a Hive de forma activa, también puedes apoyar tus proyectos preferidos... e ignorar soberanamente los menos preferidos. El aporte se realiza en la medida del HP que tengas, pero no importa que sea poco: estarás materializando tu opinión sobre el futuro de la Blockchain. Al hacer esto nos vamos a una pantalla donde tenemos tres pestañas que explicaremos en detalle, ya que es a través de ellas que se materializa la gobernanza.
1️⃣ - La 1 es la tuya si de verdad nada de esto te interesa y solo quieres emitir tu voto para no perder la capacidad de votar por los witness o testigos. Esto es rápido y sencillo, si tomas esta opción no tienes que mirar más nada.
2️⃣ - La 2 nos permite votar manualmente por los witness de nuestra preferencia.
3️⃣ - La 3 nos permite apoyar las propuestas del DHF que encontremos más útiles.
2.1 La solución del vago: dejar que otro haga el trabajo
Si en verdad no te interesa ponerte a decidir por ti mismo en estas materias o no tienes tiempo o te parece complicado, por suerte hay una solución para ti. De esta forma dejas que otro decida y sigues haciendo lo que te guste hacer. Lo primero es tocar la pestaña 1️⃣ de las que acabamos de ver, para que nos salga la siguiente pantalla.
En el cuadro de texto señalado en verde escribes un usuario de confianza, del que sepas que participa en la gobernanza. Si eres cubano te recomiendo escribir 
Desde el momento en que escribas un usuario y toques el botón, tu cuenta imitará las decisiones de quien hayas seleccionado como tu proxy. Tu cuenta replicará sus decisiones y tú tan feliz como siempre.
2.2 Votar manualmente por un witness o testigo
Para votar tú mismo por los witness de tu preferencia vamos a la pestaña 2️⃣, en la que veremos de inmediato el siguiente panorama.
Señalado en verde podemos ver el número de votos que nos restan por emitir, en mi caso faltan 16 pero cuando termine de escribir este post tengo pensado solucionar eso.
Más abajo tenemos una lista de nombres dentro de óvalos, la lista es enorme y podemos pasarnos un buen rato desplazándonos hacia abajo por ella. Cada óvalo comienza con un signo de @, luego un nombre de usuario y al final hacia la derecha una flecha que apunta hacia arriba.
Cuando no hemos votado por un witness en particular la flecha se ve blanca (ver cuadro azul), para votar tocamos el símbolo y esperamos unos segundos. Cuando el voto se vuelve efectivo la flecha se pone roja (ver cuadro amarillo). Eso es todo: escogemos un witness, tocamos la flecha, esperamos a que se ponga roja y luego seguimos seleccionando testigos.
Dentro del círculo violeta (u óvalo, lol) tenemos un elemento adicional: el enlace a un post donde el witness nos habla sobre su trabajo, rango, proyectos y demás. Algunos testigos mantienen ese post más actualizado que otros.
2.3 Votar manualmente por una propuesta del DHF
El DHF es un fondo descentralizado para financiar propuestas interesantes. Tengo entendido que cualquiera puede hacer una propuesta (aunque no sé cómo todavía), lo difícil está en conseguir los votos necesarios para que se te asignen los fondos. En cualquier caso, es una forma de apoyar el desarrollo de características o Dapps que hallemos necesarias o útiles.

Siguiendo una lógica similar a la que vimos en la pestaña de los witness o testigos, cada óvalo contiene una propuesta con su número, breve nombre descriptivo y autor. También aquí encontramos el símbolo de la flecha en el extremo derecho del óvalo.
