декілька днів тому мережу сколихнув скандал за участі генерального директора магазину Yakaboo - Івана Богдана. Його абсолютно тупе та недоречне висловлення вмить облетіло весь український інфопростір, і отримало відповідну реакцію.

a few days ago, the network was shaken by a scandal involving the general director of the Yakaboo store - Ivan Bohdan. His completely stupid and inappropriate statement immediately flew around the entire Ukrainian information space, and received an appropriate reaction.
Дане висловлення звучить так: "За нашою статистикою більше книжок купують жінки. Ну ясно - як зазвичай, витрачають гроші, які заробили чоловіки". В кінці своєї "геніальної" цитати він посміявся, очікуючи, що глядачі теж це зроблять. Але щось пішло не так...
This statement sounds like this: "According to our statistics, women buy more books. Well, it's clear - as usual, they spend the money earned by men." At the end of his "brilliant" quote, he laughed, expecting the audience to do the same. But something went wrong...
До недавнього часу в нашому культурному просторі не існувало такого інструменту як "відміна", а репутація була, скоріше, формальною, а не буквальним механізном, що напряму контролює місце медійної особистості в суспільстві. За останні місяці таке положення справ змінилося.
Until recently, there was no such tool as "cancellation" in our cultural space, and reputation was, rather, a formal rather than a literal mechanism that directly controls the place of a media personality in society. In recent months, this state of affairs has changed.
Одразу після цих відверто сексистських слів весь букток, букстаграм та буктьюб "вибухнули" справедливим обуренням від ситуації. Всі коментували її та чекали реакції Yakaboo на це. А в процесі, як блогери, так і звичайні читачі вирішили байкотувати книгарню. І я теж підтримала це рішення: нащо мені купувати книги там, де мене не поважають? На щастя, не Yakaboo єдиним живе наш книжковий ринок.
Immediately after these frankly sexist words, the entire buktok, bukstagram and buktube "exploded" with righteous indignation at the situation. Everyone was commenting on her and waiting for Yakaboo's reaction to it. And in the process, both bloggers and ordinary readers decided to boycott the bookstore. And I also supported this decision: why should I buy books where I am not respected? Fortunately, Yakaboo is not the only one living in our book market.
Та наступного дня, компанія все ж публічно вибачилася та оголосила, що старого сексиста відсторонено від посади СЕО. Ось так друзі! Нарешті у нас починає працювати інститут репутації.
But the next day, the company still publicly apologized and announced that the old sexist had been removed from the position of CEO. That's it friends! Finally, our reputation institute is starting to work.
Рада, що все завершилося так. Сподіваюся, у майбутньому "скасування" та інститут репустації будуть працювати в Україні як тому належить.
