За останніми даними, кількість жертв руйнівного землетрусу в Туреччині та Сирії перевищила 36 000 людей.
Рятувальники України також надають допомогу турецькому народу у ліквідації наслідків цієї трагедії. Лише за минулу добу вони розібрали в провінції Хатай три завали та надали медичну допомогу трьом людям. А напередодні, 12 лютого, було обстежено 105 зруйнованих будівель та споруд, розібрано три завали , деблоковано тіла 11 загиблих.

Я відчуваю гордість за українців, які не байдужі до трагедії сусідньої країни і готові прийти на допомогу. Російська агресія в Україні призвела до численних руйнувань та втрати людських життів. Співробітникам ДСНС під час ліквідації наслідків ракетних атак довелось на власні очі побачити тисячі людських трагедій. Але при цьому вони не втратили почуття людяності і співчуття до трагедій інших людей.
I feel proud of Ukrainians who are not indifferent to the tragedy of the neighboring country and are ready to help. Russian aggression in Ukraine led to numerous destructions and loss of human lives. During the liquidation of the consequences of rocket attacks, the employees of the State Emergency Service had to see with their own eyes thousands of human tragedies. But at the same time, they did not lose their sense of humanity and compassion for other people's tragedies.
Це і є саме ті загальнолюдські цінності, які властиві населенню цивілізованої Європи. Саме тому я підтримує майбутній вступ України в Європейський союз, щоб бути рівними серед рівних. Щоб спільно приймати всі виклики техногенних катастроф , щоб спільно їх передбачати, знаходити рішення для запобігання таких трагедій.
