16 липня 1990 року Верховна рада Української Радянської Соціалістичної Республіки прийняла Декларацію про державний суверенітет України.
Цим документом визначені основи державного, політичного, економічного ладу та підкреслені самостійність і суверенітет України.
За прийняття цієї Декларації проголосувало більш ніж 98 відсотків депутатів тодішньої Верховної Ради. Відповідно до Декларації про державний суверенітет України, територія України в існуючих межах проголошувалася недоторканною.
При прийнятті Декларації про державний суверенітет України влітку 1990 року ВР УРСР керувалася волею народу України, прагненням створити демократичне суспільство, потребою всебічного забезпечення прав і свобод людини, пошаною до національних прав усіх народів, турботою про повноцінний політичний, економічний, соціальний і духовний розвиток народу України, визнанням необхідності побудови правової держави, а також мала на меті утвердити суверенітет і самоврядування народу України.
Думаю , що у росіян загострилась ненависть до українців саме після прийняття цієї Декларації. Перебуваючи в постійному страху перед владою, маючи рабську психологію, росіяни за своєю ментальністю не змогли сприйняти той факт, що менша за розмірами країна, як вони вважали, ‘братська’, раптом семимильними кроками віддаляється від СРСР та від росії. Бо напрямки розвитку України, які були проголошені в Декларації, були повністю протилежними планам росії, - планам на занепад та деградацію.
Думаю, що саме з цієї дати російські можновладці та їхні спецслужби розпочали підготовку до війни з Україною. Щоб не дати Україні розвиватись, як вона сама того хоче. Щоб не допустити, щоб Україна подала будь-який позитивний приклад росіянам, а також іншим пострадянським країнам, бо це покращення – великий ляпас російській системі влади та їхнім сателітам.
Сьогодні тяжко Україні. Дістають і зовнішні вороги, і внутрішні політичні сили, які десятиліттями харчувалися з руки росії. Але це все тимчасово. Ми витримаємо і безперечно переможемо.
Що мене радує. Без пафосу, в боях на передовій чи працюючи в тилу під ракетними обстрілами, вирощуючи пшеницю на мінних полях, народжуючи дітей в бомбосховищах, ми - українці, просто виконуємо пункт за пунктом те, що прописано в Декларації про суверенітет України. І я впевнений, що всі вони будуть виконані на 100 відсотків.
On July 16, 1990, the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic adopted the Declaration on the State Sovereignty of Ukraine.
This document defines the foundations of the state, political, and economic system and emphasizes the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine.
More than 98 percent of the deputies of the then Verkhovna Rada voted for the adoption of this Declaration. According to the Declaration on State Sovereignty of Ukraine, the territory of Ukraine within the existing limits was declared inviolable.
When adopting the Declaration on the State Sovereignty of Ukraine in the summer of 1990, the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR was guided by the will of the people of Ukraine, the desire to create a democratic society, the need to comprehensively ensure human rights and freedoms, respect for the national rights of all peoples, concern for the full-fledged political, economic, social and spiritual development of the people of Ukraine , recognizing the need to build a state governed by the rule of law, and was also aimed at confirming the sovereignty and self-government of the people of Ukraine.
I think that Russians' hatred of Ukrainians intensified precisely after the adoption of this Declaration. Being in constant fear of the authorities, having a slavish psychology, the Russians could not accept the fact that a smaller country, as they considered a "brotherly" one, suddenly moves away from the USSR and from Russia in seven-mile steps. Because the directions of Ukraine's development, which were announced in the Declaration, were completely opposite to Russia's plans - plans for decline and degradation.
I think that it was from this date that the Russian authorities and their special services began preparations for war with Ukraine. To prevent Ukraine from developing as it wants. To prevent Ukraine from setting any positive example for the Russians, as well as for other post-Soviet countries, because this improvement is a big slap to the Russian system of power and their satellites.
Today is difficult for Ukraine. Both external enemies and internal political forces, which for decades fed from the hand of Russia, are gaining. But this is all temporary. We will endure and definitely win.
What makes me happy. Without pathos, in battles on the front lines or working in the rear under rocket fire, growing wheat in minefields, giving birth to children in bomb shelters, we Ukrainians simply fulfill point by point what is written in the Declaration on the Sovereignty of Ukraine. And I am sure that all of them will be fulfilled 100 percent.
