I stand for peace. And you stand for peace. Ask anyone in the street - "Are you for peace?" You'll hear - "Yes, of course." But we were born in a world that has a lot of weapons, including nuclear weapons. Therefore, peace is not an abstract concept.
Some politicians (and those who support them) believe that in order for peace to come to Ukraine, Ukraine must stop resisting. Do they understand what that means? Of course.
They say - Ukraine should stop resisting, so as not to say what it really mean. Not to say that these politicians despise international law and agreements, but recognize the right of force and violence, and believe that money is more important than truth and justice. And that they frankly do not care that the entire nation, along with its ancient culture, language, and unique cultural heritage, will be destroyed. Entire cities and thousands of people will be destroyed.
Perhaps these politicians do not really believe that such peace will last long. Because history shows that this is not the case, and soon it will be the turn of another country, another nation. But they hope that they will ensure their personal safety. The rest isn't important.
Я - за мир. І ви за мир. Запитайте будь кого на вулиці - Чи ви хочете миру? І почуєте у відповідь - "Так, звичайно!. Але ми, на жаль, народились у світі, де є дуже багато зброї, включно із ядерною зброєю. Тому мир давно не є абстрактним поняттям.
Деякі політики, а також ті, хто їх підтримує, вважають, що для того, щоб в Україні настав мир, Україна повинна перестати опиратись. Чи розуміють вони, що це значить? Звичайно!
Вони кажуть так, щоб не сказати те, що це насправді означає. Щоб не сказати, що вони зневажають міжнародне право і домовленості, і визнають право сили. Що гроші важливіші за правду і справедливість. І що їм відверто начхати, що ціла нація разом із древньою культурою, мовою, унікальною спадщиною, буде знищена. Цілі міста і тисячі людей будуть знищені.
Скоріш за все, ці політики не вірять насправді в те, що такий мир триватиме довго. Історія доводить, що це не так, і зовсім скоро настане черга іншої країни, іншої нації. Але вони думають, що особисто будуть в безпеці. Решта не так і важливо.

Відколи озброєні російські війська перетнули державний кордон України, мир означає захист наших кордонів. Мир означає захист суверенітету.
Відколи російські солдати гвалтують жінок і вбивають дітей на очах у батьків, відколи вони катують людей до смерті і застосовують заборонену зброю, мир це захист конституційних прав своїх громадян, які живуть у своїх державі. Захист із зброєю в руках.
А тому, якщо ви кажите українцю, що ви за мир, ви маєте вибрати сторону. Вибрати, який саме мир і якою ціною ви підтримуєте. Вибрати або замовкнути. Нейтралітет - це інфантилізм. Це обман і боягузтво. Його не існує.

Regarding those who support the war. I believe that such people should come here, to Ukraine, and take up arms. They must be where explosions are heard day and night, see torn hands, hear screams and curses, feel stench, cold and hunger.
If they are not killed by a Ukrainian soldier, this person will have nightmares for many years. And to live with what he saw and did. And with the answer to the question - For what?
Отже, відколи на тебе нападають, для тебе мир - це війна. Оскільки тебе ніхто більше не захистить, тільки ти сам. Але не Україна почала цю війну, а Росія. Тому тільки Україна має право вживати словосполучення "удар у відповідь". У відповідь на віроломну анексію в березні 2014, і відкриту атаку в лютому 2022.
Щодо тих, хто підтримує війну. Я вважаю, що такі люди повинні приїхати сюди, в Україну, і взяти до рук зброю. Вони повинні бути там, де вибухи лунають вдень і вночі, бачити відірвані руки, чути крики і прокльони, відчувати сморід, холод і голод.
Якщо їх не уб'є український солдат, то ця людина багато років буде бачити кошмари уві сні. І жити з тим, що вона бачила і робила. І з відповіддю на питання - задля чого?
