Hi friends.
Today I suggest to remember one more event in Ukraine - 36 years ago, when on the night of April 26 there was an explosion at the Chernobyl NPP, after carrying out dangerous tests.
Immediately after the explosion, the core was significantly destroyed and the upper part of the reactor was completely destroyed.
As a result, the world's largest radiation contamination of hazardous radionuclides from radioactive fuels has occurred.
Emissions of lethal doses of nuclear fuel lasted for about ten days (until about May 6).
As a result of this huge accident, which occurred due to negligence of the leadership, 17 European countries and an area of 207.5 thousand square kilometers were polluted.
Ukraine and Belarus received the highest doses of pollution. 14 regions of Russia have also been polluted.
Radioactive clouds from Chernobyl have been recorded even in Canada, the United States and Japan.
This terrible accident, with far-reaching consequences for hundreds of years, should teach people a lot and make them more careful and cautious.
However, as it turned out, this bitter lesson did not teach the leaders of either Russia or Belarus.
About three poorly guided missiles were launched by the Russian military and intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses in a danger zone near the reactor in February-March 2022.
What do you think are the goals of the Russian leadership and is it aware of the consequences of its own destructive actions for the whole world?
I do not know the answer to this question, like none of us.
I can only note that the level of radiation in the Chornobyl zone has increased abnormally after the presence of Russian troops, as recently reported by the media with reference to the IAEA chief.
