Привіт, шановні друзі. У 2020 році регулятор випустив монету номіналом 2 гривні. Вона присвячена Ніжинському університету, одному з найстаріших навчальних закладів. У 2020 році він відзначив свій 200-річний ювілей. На Violity виріб з нейзильберу можна придбати за ціною менш як 3 долари. Загалом було викарбувано 30 тисяч монет. Вага виробу складає 12.8, а діаметр — 31 мм.
Гімназія вищих наук, а саме так називався в той час вищий навчальний заклад, пропонувала освіту представникам духовенства та дворян з 1820 року. Серед випускників потрібно виділити Гоголя, Гребінку, Лазаревського, Покоповича, Редькіна.
Нині це навчальний заклад четвертого рівня акредитації. Тут готують психологів, філологів, працівників соціальної сфери, істориків, юристів, культурологів, мистецтвознавців. За даними десятилітньої давності (2013) навчання в університеті проходило близько 4 тисяч студентів.
Ювілейна монета з рифленим гуртом виготовлена з нейзильберу. В наш час навчальний заклад називається в честь Миколи Гоголя. Тому його портрет зображено на реверсі, вище університетської будівлі. Тут же викарбувана назва монети. До публікації використані світлини з сайту Національного банку України.
