Вітаю, друзі! Сьогодні на огляді монета Нідерландів. До 2002 року офіційною грошовою одиницею цієї країни був гульден, в якості розмінної монети якого використовувався цент. З 2002 року гульден виведений з обігу, а йому на заміну прийшов євро. Бронзова монета номіналом 5 центів досить гарна, хоча й має невеликий розмір, її діаметр всього 21 мм. Вага складає три з половиною грами. Насічки на гурті відсутні.
Трішки історії. Вперше гульден з'явився ще в кінці 14 століття, а назва його пов'язана з флорином, який карбувався століттям раніше у Флоренції. На початку 16 століття у гульдена з'явилась розмінна монета зі срібла — стювер у співвідношенні 1 до 20. В свою чергу останній складався із восьми дуїтів. Та й дуїт не був не останній в цьому цікавому ланцюжку, адже його можна було обміняти на два пеннінги. Важко навіть уявити, наскільки високою була вартість одного гульдена. У 19 столітті всі перераховані монети були скасовані, а в обігу з'явився цент. Перший цент Нідерландів виготовили в 1817 році. До речі, саме 5 центів довгий час називали стювером.
На одному боці зображено дві гарні квітки, вказаний номінал та рік карбування. На аверсі можна побачити представника королівської родини, про що свідчить і відповідний напис. Саме під час правління королеви Юліани була виготовлена монета 5 центів 1950 року.

Greetings, friends! Today we are going to review a coin from the Netherlands. Until 2002, the official currency of this country was the guilder, with the cent used as a change coin. Since 2002, the guilder has been withdrawn from circulation and replaced by the euro. The bronze 5-cent coin is quite beautiful, although it is small, with a diameter of only 21 mm. It weighs three and a half grams. There are no notches on the band.
A bit of history. The guilder first appeared at the end of the 14th century, and its name is associated with the florin, which was minted a century earlier in Florence. At the beginning of the 16th century, the guilder was accompanied by a silver coin, the stuver, with a ratio of 1 to 20. In turn, the latter consisted of eight duits. And the duit was not the last in this interesting chain, as it could be exchanged for two pennies. It is hard to imagine how high the value of one guilder was. In the 19th century, all of these coins were abolished, and the cent came into circulation. The first Dutch cent was made in 1817. By the way, it was 5 cents that was called a stuyver for a long time.
On one side are two beautiful flowers, the denomination and year of minting. On the obverse, you can see a representative of the royal family, as evidenced by the corresponding inscription. It was during the reign of Queen Juliana that the 1950 5-cent coin was produced.
