In the wake of Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the global community has been struggling with the devastating consequences of the war and searching for ways to offer support to Ukraine.
At PissedConsumer, we are deeply concerned about the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and have been closely monitoring the situation. Our fundamental mission at PissedConsumer.com has always been to empower and inform consumers. Given that our Ukraine-based team has also been directly affected by the Russian invasion, we believe it is our responsibility to play an active role in educating consumers about their purchasing decisions amidst the illegal Russia-Ukraine war.
It's important to clarify that PissedConsumer.com's mission is not to discredit brands remaining in Russia. Instead, our objective is to provide consumers with the information they need to make informed choices that align with their values. We aim to educate people about the implications of supporting companies operating in Russia.
Some of the large companies remaining in Russia have even expanded their product lines in the region. The revenues generated by these businesses can indirectly contribute to funding the conflict. We are not advocating for a blanket boycott of all businesses in Russia, but we are committed to informing consumers about the consequences of their choices.
It's worth noting that the businesses that are still operating in the Russian market, pay taxes to the country of the aggressor, and thus help finance the war. We seek to inform consumers about the implications of their purchases from any business in Russia. We believe that consumers, armed with this knowledge, can make conscious choices to support Ukraine and consider alternatives when making their purchases.
