I am not very comfortable taking night photos, I believe I am not good at it. I basically don't find anything interesting to capture except city lights. Winter is so boring and I don't find anything attractive in winter, to be honest. Perspective changes, sometimes some moments make you happy and fill your heart with joy. Some locations inspire you to keep them as memory and frame them so that you can recall your moment. It can be a short walk within the city or maybe a beautiful place that fills your heart with joy and satisfaction.
Yesterday I went to a park called Shevchenko Park, I have written a lot of posts featuring this park even made enormous videos. But I hardly can remember if I have taken an evening winter walk there and took some photos.
This year winter seems long to me, days are short, sometimes so boring that I hardly find any motivation to do something productive, instead I love being lazy, and rather I love spending my time on my almost broken couch (my dog broke the couch already) than walking outside in the cold weather. But as I love to be active and when my body asks for changes, I had to go out to get some fresh air.
Walking in the park does help a lot but if it is very cold and snowy weather, definitely walking in the park is not enjoyable. There is a high chance you will be sick if you walk in the large open space for a long time especially in the evening.
I had to do a few things before walking in the park, basically, I had no plan to walk in the park at that moment as I have said I avoid walking in the park or in the open space in the evening. When my work was done it was already evening, so I instantly had decided, why not take a short walk into the park.
I was also curious as well, every year they do add some new things so out of curiosity, I decided to take a short walk in this beautiful park.
The ground is now covered with snow in fact almost the whole of Kharkiv city is covered with snow. This is a very well maintained and secure park so they clean the walkways often. I hardly saw any visitors in the park at that moment, this was because it was a week day and people visit this park during the weekend.
But I somehow was feeling good walking in this lonely, humanless park. Waterbodies and fountains were closed, they keep them close during winter and some structures and monuments were covered with plastic material, they did that to protect the monuments from harsh snowy weather.
The cold breeze was blowing and after walking for 30 minutes, I started feeling tired and dehydrated. The park is very large and I never think of exploring the whole park at once in winter, I just can't do that.
There was nothing to see in the park except the snow but somehow I was enjoying the silence of the park. The entire park really looks different in winter, to be honest. There was nothing to see or enjoy but there was something that helped me to connect with the ambient though I was exhausted.
After walking for a while I had found a clean bench and decided to sit down a while. I already have mentioned that the cold wind was blowing and the park looked like a barren land. But the difference is it was covered with snow which itself is beautiful. It was icy frosty weather. The sky was so clear and dark blue, no cloud was there, I was expecting a thin layer of fog but it was a beautiful clear sky.
I was taking deep breaths and was trying to be fine in the park because I had to go back to my home as well by metro. Metro station was 10 minutes away from where I was sitting.
The photos I have taken using my phone camera, my phone S20 Ultra did a pretty good job this time. Normally it takes blurry photos most of the time. I have edited some photos this time and worked on the contrast level. Probably next time I am going to edit photos like this, reducing sharpness and contrast gave these photos a soft and pleasant look.
After taking some rest, I just headed back to my home, it was getting pretty darker and colder as well.
Let me know what you think about these photos...
That's all for today, folks...
