І одразу зізнаюсь, тут зображені одні із моїх найулюбленіших тваринок, а формат допису буде не зовсім стандартним, як для цієї рубрики. Ну що, готові? Знайомтесь - Їглавські Їжачки.

У міста Ужгород є досить об’ємний список міст-побратимів, серед яких можна знайти місто Їглава, котре знаходиться в Чехії. Воно знаходиться на південному сході країни на однойменній річці Їглава. Вперше згадується у літописах в 1233 році. В 2010 році стало містом-побратимом Ужгорода.
The city of Uzhhorod has a fairly long list of sister cities, including the city of Jihlava, which is located in the Czech Republic. Добре, розібрались із описом міста, але чому саме їжаки оселились на перилах набережної? Для того, щоб це зрозуміти потрібно поглянути на офіційний герб чеського міста і все стане на свої місця. Крім того, їжаки є символом пива «Єжик», яке варять саме в Їглаві.

Цю групу міні-скульптур встановили в місті Ужгороді у травні 2013 року. Подію приурочили до днів чеської культури, а на відкритті їжачків були присутні міські голови Ужгорода та Їглави.
This group of mini-sculptures was installed in the city of Uzhhorod in May 2013. The event was timed to the days of Czech culture, and the opening of the hedgehogs was attended by the mayors of Uzhhorod and Jihlava.
До речі, спочатку скульптур було чотири, але найменшого їжака вирішили подарувати меру міста-побратима. Скульптором традиційно виступив Михайло Колодко, а ковалем був Василь Криванич.
By the way, at first, there were four sculptures, but they decided to present the smallest hedgehog to the mayor of the sister city. Mykhailo Kolodko traditionally acted as a sculptor, and Vasyl Kryvanych was a blacksmith.
