Вчора, нежданно негаданно виїхали в центр та зависли там на цілий день. Хоча, першочергово повинні були вирішити деякі питання та прогулятись декілька годин, тому що погода була не найкращою. Вже третій день в Одесі періодично крапає дощ. Ні, ну, а що я хотіла, все-таки останній місяць осені почався. До Нового року залишилось мало часу, на прилавках магазинів з'являються новорічні іграшки та найсмачніший в світі «наркотик» цього сезону – мандарини.
Yesterday, we suddenly went to the centre and hung out there for the whole day. Although, first of all, we had to solve some issues and walk for a few hours, because the weather was not the best. It has been raining periodically in Odesa for three days now. No, well, what I wanted, after all, the last month of autumn has begun. There is little time left until the New Year, Christmas toys and the most delicious "drug" in the world this season - tangerines - appear on store shelves.
Отже, прогулянка почалась, та і закінчилась, на Дерибасівській. Йдучи до неї я вперше в житті побачила лімузин. Чорт візьми, яка довжелезна автівка!

Так, як ми не снідали, та і почався легкий дощ, то вирішили зайти в який небудь заклад, щоб перечекати негоду. Вибір впав на буфет столову «Уточ-Кино». Не лякайтесь слова столова! Коли потрапляєш всередину, то сміливо можна назвати цей заклад кафетерієм вищого рівня. Тут мега затишно та приємно. А ще дуже дуже дуже цікаво!
Since we did not have breakfast, and it started to rain lightly, we decided to go to some institution to wait for the weather. The choice fell on the buffet of the dining room "Utoch-Kino". Do not be afraid of the word table! When you get inside, you can safely call this institution a cafeteria of the highest level. It's mega cosy and nice here. And very very very very interesting!

Sergei Isayovich Utochkin was an athlete of the Russian Empire in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a test pilot, an aviator (since 1910), and a pioneer and propagandist of aviation. He participated in bicycle races, played football, engaged in automobile, sailing, skating and motorcycle sports, boxing, wrestling, rowing, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, athletics, parachuting, swimming, tennis, fencing and more.
На початку 20 століття він відкрив перший в Одесі кінотеатр. До речі, розташовувався він саме в цій будівлі, де тепер можна смачно поїсти. Підіймаючись сходами ви зустрінете пам'ятник Уточкіну, котрий запускає в небо паперовий літачок. А інтер'єр закладу практично переносить вас до того часу. На вході ретро велосипед, на стінах величезна кількість старих фотографій, а ще практично на кожному кроці купа різноманітних цікавих дрібниць. До речі, періодично тут вмикають фільми та мультики направляючи проектор на більш менш вільну стіну.

At the entrance is a retro bicycle, on the walls a huge number of old photos, and almost at every step a bunch of various interesting little things. By the way, movies and cartoons are periodically turned on here, directing the projector to a more or less free wall.
Тут повне самообслуговування. Єдине, що столики прибирають саме працівники кафе, а все інше за вами. Коли підходиш до цих столів із їжею просто губишся! Все виглядає настільки смачно, що так і хочеться скуштувати трішки з усього. Певно, це стане моїм улюбленим місцем в Одесі.

Everything looks so delicious that you want to taste a little of everything. Probably, it will become my favourite place in Odessa.
До речі, влітку ми встигли сфотографуватись з Уточкіним, коли була гарна тепла погода.

Що стосується цін, то не дивлячись на те, що кафе знаходиться в найдорожчій частині міста, наїстись можна заплативши менше 100 гривень. А для батьків стане в нагоді інформація про наявність дитячої кімнатки за якою можна спостерігати через спеціальні екрани на стінах. Щоправда, в період карантину цей зал не функціонує.

Зате, можу похвалитись фотографією дуже гарної будівлі напроти. Як виявилось, це готель, якому вже 120 років - Великий Московський. Будівля готелю виконано в стилі живописного модерну. Будівництво тривало з 1901 по 1904 рік.

І це сьогодні він виглядає так прекрасно! Ще на початку 2000 років фасад будівлі був практично знищений і багато жителів хвилювались, що готель просто знесуть та побудують черговий ТЦ. Проте у 2006 році затвердили проект реконструкції і підійшли до цього питання максимально відповідально. Були, навіть, досліджені архіви у Відні, де провів останні роки архітектор готелю Лев Влодек.

Back in the early 2000s, the facade of the building was virtually destroyed and many residents were worried that the hotel would simply be demolished and another shopping centre built. However, in 2006 they approved the reconstruction project and approached this issue as responsibly as possible. The archives in Vienna, where the hotel's architect Lev Vlodek spent his last years, were even researched.

Всі ці елементи відповідають початковим задумам архітектора, але були втрачені ще в період революції 1917 року.
Specialists were able to reproduce all the typical elements of modern decor based on original drawings and sketches. Далі ми трохи прогулялись вуличками центру Одеси, випили кави, та повернулись на Дерибасівську, щоб провести вечір в компанії глінтвейну. А ще встигли забігти в заклад «співочого ректора» - Пузату Хату, котрий знаходиться на шостому поверсі ТЦ Європа та повечеряти традиційною для цього місця стравою – варениками.
Then we took a short walk through the streets of the centre of Odessa, drank coffee, and returned to Deribasovskaya to spend the evening in the company of mulled wine.
