До уваги спільноти чергова добірка старовинних світлин початку ХХ ст. Сьогодні ми зануримось у неймовірну атмосферу прикарпатського села Герасимів, Тлумацького району Івано-Франківської області.
Another selection of old photos from the beginning of the 20th century is for the attention of the community. Today we will immerse ourselves in the incredible atmosphere of the Carpathian village of Gerasimov, Tlumatsky district, Ivano-Frankivsk regionin Ukraine.
На цих світлинах можемо побачити те, що сьогодні зреріглось лише в музеях під відкритим небом. Хати-мазанки під стріхою, затишні чисті подвір'я та працьовиті люди на них.
In these pictures, we can see what can be seen today only in open-air museums. Thatched huts, cozy clean yards and hardworking people in them.
А це на світлинах зафіксовано фінальну стадію важкого процесу виготовлення домотканного полотна. Тканину після верстату вимочували у воді і розкладали сохнути під сонцем. Від цього тканина "всідалась" і набувала особливого блиску, починала ніби сяяти.
And these photos show the final stage of the difficult process of making a home-woven fabric. After production, the fabric was soaked in water and laid out to dry under the sun. As a result, the fabric "settled" and acquired a special shine, began to shine as if.
До виконання такої роботи часто долучали дітей. Ця робота не важка, але потрібно було постійно знаходитись біля рулонів з тканиною і слідкувати, щоб його не підривало вітром, та періодично перевертати рулони.
Children were often involved in such work. This work is not difficult, but it was necessary to constantly be near the fabric and make sure that it was not carried away by the wind, and periodically turn the fabric to the other side.
Досить цікава деталь. Дітей для цієї роботи обов'язково одягали в чистий новий полотняний одяг, виявляючи таким чином повагу до нового полотна.
Quite an interesting detail. Children for this work were necessarily dressed in clean new linen clothes, thus showing respect for the new cloth that had just been made.
На жаль, під час Першої світової війни це село опинилось на лінії фронту між російською та австро-угорською арміями. Село декілька раз переходило з рук в руки і сильно постраждало від військових дій.
Unfortunately, during the First World War, this village was on the front line between the Russian and Austro-Hungarian armies. The village changed hands several times and was badly affected by military operations.
Але фотографії зберегли для нас ту правдиву минувшину. В чергове переконуємось, що війна - це страшне явище, яке знищує все на своєму шляху і не завжди вдається відновити все так, як було до війни.
But the photographs preserved the true past for us. Once again, we are convinced that war is a terrible phenomenon that destroys everything in its path and it is not always possible to restore everything to the way it was before the war.
