Хоч я і не нумізмат, але ця новина зацікавила. Навіть захотілося отримати і собі таку колекцію, залишивши як пам'ять про цю страшну війну.
Although I am not a numismatist, this news interested me. I even wanted to get such a collection for myself, leaving as a memory of this terrible war.
Національний банк України ще у 2018 році започаткував серію пам'ятних монет "Збройні сили України". Перша монета присвячена нашим кіборгам, - захисникам Донецького аеропорту. Мужні незламні воїни 242 дні утримували аеропорт, незважаючи на систематичні штурми військами ворога. Люди витримали. Не втримався бетон... 13 січня 2015 року впала тисячу разів обстріляна диспетчерська вежа. А 20 січня 2015 року підлі загарбники підірвали термінал, де перебували наші воїни. Обвалилася стеля, бетонні перекриття поховали під собою наших захисників. Але ці бої показали незламний дух нашої армії, а захисників аеропорту назавжди запам'ятаємо як "кіборгів".
Back in 2018, the National Bank of Ukraine launched a series of "Armed Forces of Ukraine" commemorative coins. The first coin is dedicated to our cyborgs, defenders of the Donetsk airport. Courageous and indomitable soldiers held the airport for 242 days, despite systematic assaults by enemy troops. People endured. The concrete could not hold... On January 13, 2015, the control tower fell under fire a thousand times. And on January 20, 2015, vile invaders blew up the terminal where our soldiers were stationed. The ceiling collapsed, the concrete floors buried our defenders under them. But these battles showed the indomitable spirit of our army, and the defenders of the airport will forever be remembered as "cyborgs".
Як заявив Нацбанк України, ця серія пам'ятних монет не буде реалізовуватись як нумізматична продукція. Тобто вони можуть бути використані як звичайна десятигривнева купюра при розрахунках. Всього таких монет на сьогодні випущено 5,5 мільонів. В серії - 14 екземплярів, присвячених:

Військово-морські Сили Збройних Сил України;
Сухопутні війська Збройних Сил України;
Збройні Сили України;

As the National Bank of Ukraine stated, this series of commemorative coins will not be sold as numismatic products. That is, they can be used as an ordinary ten-hryvnia bill for calculations. A total of 5.5 million such coins have been issued today. There are 14 copies in the series dedicated to:

Люди, які в боях відстоюють право на життя та свободу кожного українця, які мужньо стоять на захисті суверенітету та територіальної цілісності України, заслуговують бути увіковічненими і таким чином. Монети завжди нагадуватимуть нам і нашим нащадкам про цю страшну і підлу війну, розв'язану росією. І про незламний дух та єдність народу з армією, що ведуть нас до перемоги.
People who defend the right to life and freedom of every Ukrainian in battles, who bravely stand up for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, deserve to be immortalized in this way as well. Coins will always remind us and our descendants about this terrible and vile war, unleashed by Russia. And about the indomitable spirit and unity of the people with the army, which lead us to victory.
