Хоча як сказати...
Я би мріяла про те, щоб світ вивчав і міг попереджати, захиститися від стихійних лих.
Замість цього я бачу сьогодні руйнівну війну росії проти України. З тисячами жертв з обох сторін. Зі страшної руйнації наших домівок та інфраструктури. Знищення України 'під нуль' - так виглядає сьогоднішнє відношення 'братського народу' росії до нас, українців.
Та Бог з ним. Росія, мабуть, не в курсі. Як і багато країн - агресорів, що всі свої ресурси спрямовують на нарощування військової техніки та технологій.
Але.
Вони не в курсі.
Не політики цей світ створили. Не їм ним і керувати!
Яскраве тому підтвердження - стихійні лиха із жахаючою кількістю жертв серед нас, Людей. Де б ми не жили. Землетрус у Туреччині та Сирії - тому яскравий приклад. От для чого розробляти людству технології знищення одне одного, коли Природа сама 'регулює' людей? Чи не через військові та інші розробки, що спрямовані на знищення цілих націй та держав? Я тут не маю на увазі ні в якому випадку якусь конкретну державу. Сейсмологія не має прив'язки до політики. Але ж...
Коли гинуть мирні люди, ні з того ні з сього. Віками. Тисячоліттями. То чи не варто людству замість розробки програм воєнного розвитку запустити, нарешті, всі сили найкращих науковців для попередження природних катастроф?

I would dream that the world would study and be able to warn and protect itself from natural disasters.
Instead, I see today Russia's destructive war against Ukraine. With thousands of casualties on both sides. From the terrible destruction of our homes and infrastructure. Destruction of Ukraine "to zero" - this is how the attitude of the "brotherly people" of Russia to us, Ukrainians, looks today.
But God is with him. Russia is probably not aware. Like many aggressor countries that direct all their resources to building up military equipment and technologies.
But.
They are not aware.
Politicians did not create this world. They don't even manage it!
Natural disasters with a terrifying number of victims among us, people, are a clear confirmation of that. Wherever we live. The earthquake in Turkey and Syria is a vivid example of that. So why should humanity develop technologies to destroy each other, when Nature herself "regulates" people? Is it not because of military and other developments aimed at the destruction of entire nations and states? I do not mean here in any case any specific state. Seismology has no ties to politics. But...
When peaceful people die, it's for nothing. For ages For millennia. Shouldn't humanity, instead of developing military development programs, finally launch all the forces of the best scientists to prevent natural disasters?
