Так, разом із портативними газовими плитами та легкими зручними наборами кастрюль-сковорідок, у мене вперше з'явилися термочашки.

I needed to buy most of the "new generation" products for trips to nature and fishing. As a rule, such trips involved an overnight stay, which means that I needed convenient things for cooking. Yes, along with portable gas stoves and lightweight, convenient pan sets, I had my first thermos.
В холодну пору року це було справжньою знахідкою. Кава чи чай навіть при низьких температурах повітря довго зберігала своє тепло у такій чашці. Приємно мати гарячі напої весь холодний осінній чи весняний день. Та й у світанкову літню прохолоду випити перед виходом на воду у човні улюбленої гарячої кави - справжня насолода!
Але якось я не встигла випити свій чай, і він охолов у термочашці. Навіть не задумуючись, я поставила термочашку на газову плиту, щоб розігріти напій. Не пройшло і хвилини, як зрозуміла: щось тут не так! І була абсолютно права. Термочашка ж має подвійні стінки, тому і зберігає тепло напоїв. Але точно так само вона не пропускає тепла іззовні, і її не можна ставити на вогонь. Але було вже пізно.

But somehow I didn't have time to drink my tea, and it got cold in the thermal cup. Without even thinking, I put the thermal cup on the gas stove to heat the drink. It wasn't even a minute before I understood: something is wrong here! And she was absolutely right. The thermal cup has double walls, which is why it keeps drinks warm. But in the same way, it does not transmit heat from the outside, and it cannot be put on fire. But it was too late.
На моїй термочашці тепер залишився слід від полум'я, і з часом з'явилася тріщинка. Але тепло кави вона зберігає і досі. Правда, завжди видає мені при наповненні смішні звуки, схожі на шелест листя чи тихий пташиний спів.
Ось така історія. Бо треба йти в ногу з часом і з технологіями, не дивлячись ні на що.
