Saludos amigos de la comunidad Motherhood, un gusto contarles un poco sobre mi rol como padre de adolescentes a mis 71 años y todos los retos que esto conlleva. Siempre les hablo de mis actividades junto a mi hijo menor, es con quien más comparto, quiero mucho a mi niña pero ella como es natural busca más a su mamá y lo entiendo. Mi esposa y yo entonces nos compartimos la crianza de nuestros hijos, sin tratar de restarle importancia al otro, pasar sobre sus normas , nada que ver, somos un equipo con un objetivo y es llevar por buen camino a nuestros hijos para que el día de mañana sean adultos de bien.
David gracias a dios sigue ejercitándose, ya inició las clases en el liceo esta semana y se ha hecho un poco más dificil salir a la playa, estas fotos son del fin de semana. Criar a mi edad a un adolescente en esta época implica desafíos , nada que no haya hecho antes pero son muchachos más tecnológicos y con una energía tremenda. Acompaño a David a la playa para que se ejercite y sacarlo un poco de ese mundo virtual, aparte de que obligatoriamente debe ejercitarse para que los músculos de los pies se fortalezcan y el próximo año puedan retirar los clavos que le colocaron.
Greetings friends of the Motherhood community, it is a pleasure to tell you a little about my role as a parent of teenagers at 71 years old and all the challenges that this entails. I always tell you about my activities with my youngest son, he is the one with whom I share the most, I love my little girl very much but she naturally looks more for her mother and I understand that. My wife and I then share the upbringing of our children, without trying to downplay the importance of the other, to pass over their standards, nothing to do, we are a team with one goal and that is to take our children on the right path so that tomorrow they will be good adults.
David, thank God, is still exercising, he has already started classes at the high school this week and it has become a little more difficult to go to the beach, these pictures are from the weekend. Raising a teenager at my age at this time of year is challenging, nothing I haven't done before but they are more technological kids with tremendous energy. I accompany David to the beach so that he can exercise and take him out of the virtual world a little bit, apart from the fact that he has to exercise so that the muscles in his feet get stronger and next year they can remove the nails that were placed in his feet.
Hoy nos dijo que se iba a inscribir en atletismo ya que un compañerito de clases se había inscrito y nos alegramos bastante porque precisamente en la última consulta el médico nos sugirió ya lo inscribieramos en un equipo para que practicara un deporte; sin embargo vivimos alejados de las zonas centricas de la isla y la opción que tenemos de este lado de la isla es el beisbol pero ya el no desea practicar este deporte y habíamos pensado en futbol sala que le gustaba y al parecer han formado un equipo en una comunidad cercana.
A dios gracias en el liceo tienen esta opción del atletismo y estamos muy contentos. Aunque hago lo melor posible por acompañarlo, motivarlo, un adolescente siempre necesita de personas de su edad. Para el resulta mejor realizar ejercicios en compañía de otros adolescentes, por lo cual su inscripción en este grupo no podía ser mejor.El tiene bastante resistencia y ya con la bendición del médico con mucha seguridad se enrumba hacía la práctica del deporte. Como cualquier padre que se preocupa por sus hijos, seguiré al pendiente, inició el segundo año de bachillerato, el tiempo ha pasado rápido, sigo a su lado, gracias dios por permitirme ver a mis hijos crecer.
Today he told us that he was going to enroll in athletics because a classmate of his had enrolled and we were very happy because at the last doctor's appointment the doctor suggested that we enroll him in a team to practice a sport; however we live far from the central areas of the island and the option we have on this side of the island is baseball but he does not want to practice this sport and we had thought about indoor soccer which he liked and apparently they have formed a team in a nearby community.
Thank goodness the high school has this option of athletics and we are very happy. Although I do my best to accompany him and motivate him, a teenager always needs people his own age. For him it is better to exercise in the company of other teenagers, so his enrollment in this group could not be better, he has enough stamina and with the doctor's blessing he will surely start practicing sports. Like any parent who is concerned about their children, I will continue to be attentive, he started his second year of high school, time has passed quickly, I am still by his side, thank God for allowing me to see my children grow.
