La comunidad donde vivimos es pesquera y es común ver a los niños con sus cabellos desteñidos por el sol, disfrutan bañandose, muchos acompañan a sus familiares a pescar, precisamente inició la temporada de pesca de pulpo y es como una gran fiesta cuando llegan los botes, me gusta que mi hijo presencie esto, que ame, valore la cultura del pueblo donde ha crecido por 12 años.

Sharing with my son makes me happy, I take the opportunity to talk with him, my desire is to see him grow, to see him become a respectful man, a professional, but especially to see him healthy and happy. The community where we live is a fishing community and it is common to see children with their hair bleached by the sun, they enjoy bathing, many accompany their families to fish, just started the octopus fishing season and it is like a big party when the boats arrive, I like my son to witness this, to love, to value the culture of the town where he has grown up for 12 years.
A propósito lo hago para que se dé cuenta que no todos pueden llevar una vida tranquila como el la tiene, que hay niños que tienen que trabajar para llevar el pan a su casa, que incluso disfrutan esto porque están acostumbrados desde pequeños al mar, les tocó vivir en hogares muy humildes y en un entorno de trabajo duro. La familia materna de mi esposa tiene sus raíces en la pesca, mis hijos no tuvieron la fortuna de conocer a los ancianos porque ya habían fallecido y me hubiera gustado que hubieran disfrutado de sus historias y afecto. Sin embargo trato de que de una u otra manera aprecien sus ráices.
A mis hijos les ha tocado vivir alejados de sus familiares debido a la emigración de sus tíos mas cercanos, hermanos y otros familiares; son muy pocos los que quedan en el pueblo, sin embargo tratamos de mantener en ellos buenos sentimientos, de criarlos en valores y mantenemos la esperanza de que en un futuro muy cercano todos podamos reunirnos de nuevo, disfrutar de esta bendición que es el ambiente marino que nos rodea. No deseamos irnos del país, espero que no, deseo que mis hijos crezcan en este pueblo humilde y tranquilo donde aprecien la sencillez, la humildad, el valor de la amistad, del trabajo honesto y sientan amor por esta tierra, no soy insular, soy andino, pero amo esta isla como cualquier nativo.Siempre les digo a mis hijos, no tengo riquezas en dinero pero si mucho amor para darles, mi tiempo es para ustedes, para educarlos y compartir todo el que dios me permita darles.

My wife's maternal family has its roots in fishing, my children did not have the fortune of knowing the elders because they had already passed away and I would have liked them to have enjoyed their stories and affection. However, I try to make them appreciate their roots in one way or another.
My children have had to live far away from their families due to the emigration of their closest uncles, brothers and sisters and other relatives; there are very few left in the village, however we try to keep good feelings in them, to raise them in values and we keep the hope that in a very near future we can all meet again, enjoy this blessing that is the marine environment that surrounds us. We do not want to leave the country, I hope not, I want my children to grow up in this humble and quiet town where they appreciate simplicity, humility, the value of friendship, honest work and feel love for this land, I am not an islander, I am Andean, but I love this island as any native. I always tell my children, I don't have riches in money but I have a lot of love to give you, my time is for you, to educate you and share all that God allows me to give you.
