My dad was orphaned at the age of 12, first my grandmother died and two years later my grandfather died of a heart attack, at that young age dad knew what it was to work, he and his brothers went out every day to look for their livelihood, doing everything that came along; errands, deliveries, masonry, as drivers.... You name it! But dad wanted things his own way, he had and still has an indomitable spirit; as a teenager, he refused to follow his brothers' orders, so he found his own way to survive; selling newspapers, mowing the neighbor's lawn, bathing the dogs.... The fact that he grew up practically alone didn't stop him from emerging and I admire him a lot for that.

Este hombre tiene nombre y apellido: se llama Ernesto Rosales, es valiente, trabajador, decidido.... Desde pequeño ha logrado salir adelante por sus propios medios. Mi papá quedó huérfano a los 12 años, primero murió mi abuela y dos años después mi abuelo murió de un infarto, a esa corta edad papá supo lo que era trabajar, él y sus hermanos salían todos los días a buscar su sustento, haciendo todo lo que se presentaba; mandados, entregas, albañilería, como choferes.... Lo que sea. Pero papá quería las cosas a su manera, tenía y tiene un espíritu indomable; de adolescente, se negaba a seguir las órdenes de sus hermanos, así que encontró su propia forma de sobrevivir; vendiendo periódicos, cortando el césped del vecino, bañando a los perros.... El hecho de que creciera prácticamente solo no le impidió surgir y le admiro mucho por ello.

Con el paso del tiempo papá se interesó por la mecánica e hizo de ella su profesión, se compró una moto y viajó a varios lugares, fue comerciante, se alistó en el ejército, se rompió una pierna también 😅, pasaron muchas cosas que lo convirtieron en el hombre que es ahora, él quería ser un alma libre sin atarse a un lugar ni a una persona, pero lo que no esperaba era la llegada de una mujer que le pondría los pies sobre la tierra.... Mi mamá xD.

I grew up under the care of a wonderful father, he was my "dentist" when I was molting my teeth, my driver, my counselor, my "jailer" when he punished me for something, he was the one who taught me to ride a bike, to read the time, to learn his phone number by heart in case an emergency arose.

Se enamoraron, se casaron, tuvieron hijos y entre ellos aparecí yo. Por cierto soy la menor así que no nací entre mis hermanos sino que nací al final. Crecí bajo el cuidado de un padre maravilloso, fue mi "dentista" cuando mudaba los dientes, mi chofer, mi consejero, mi "carcelero" cuando me castigaba por algo, fue quien me enseñó a andar en bicicleta, a leer la hora, a aprender de memoria su número de teléfono por si surgía una emergencia.

Dad has been my support in the most difficult moments, he is the one who encourages me and gives me courage, dad is not a man of many words, on the contrary he is quite reserved, that's why when he gives me advice I know he does it with all his heart and because he wants to help me in some way. A hug from my dad gives me a peace of mind that I can hardly find anywhere else, that's what my dad is for me, my anchor and my refuge. I can only thank God for having given me such a great gift, for having given me such beautiful moments by his side, I am grateful that my dad is alive and that I can enjoy him, I know I will never be able to give him back everything he has done for me, but if God gives me life I want to give him back even a part of the love he has given me and continues to give me.

Papá ha sido mi apoyo en los momentos más difíciles, es el que me anima y me da coraje, papá no es un hombre de muchas palabras, al contrario es bastante reservado, por eso cuando me da un consejo sé que lo hace con todo su corazón y porque quiere ayudarme de alguna manera. Un abrazo de mi papá me da una tranquilidad que difícilmente puedo encontrar en otro lugar, eso es mi papá para mí, mi ancla y mi refugio. Solo puedo dar gracias a Dios por haberme dado un regalo tan grande, por haberme regalado momentos tan bonitos a su lado, agradezco que mi papá esté vivo y que pueda disfrutar de él, sé que nunca podré devolverle todo lo que ha hecho por mí, pero si Dios me da vida quiero devolverle aunque sea una parte del amor que me ha dado y me sigue dando.
