Saludos mis queridos lectores y amigos de esta hermosa comunidad de Motherhood.
Sin duda alguna han sido unas semanas bastante movidas, con el retorno a clases aquí en la costa del Ecuador, de manera presencial, luego de dos años de ausencia y viendo clases virtuales.
Greetings my dear readers and friends of this beautiful Motherhood community.
Without a doubt it has been a busy few weeks, with the return to classes here on the coast of Ecuador, in person, after two years of absence and watching virtual classes.
Para algunos niños no fue fácil adaptarse nuevamente a tener que ir a las aulas e incluso algunos presentaron problemas emocionales, sin embargo no fue el caso de Ammy, ella estaba muy feliz y ansiosa por volver a su escuela.
Siempre se levanta bien temprano, se asea, se coloca el uniforme, desayuna y se cepilla, sin que nadie la obligue, para irse a su escuela. Lo que si cuesta un poco es que dejé todo listo el día anterior, para que no olvide nada al irse.
Trabajamos en eso, ella está creando nuevamente rutinas escolares, pero hay una que le está costando un tanto y es debido al sistema escolar que llevan aquí desde hace años, ya que recuerdo que cuando estudié aquí en mis primeros años de estudio, fue todo igual.
For some children it was not easy to adapt again to having to go to the classroom and some even presented emotional problems, however this was not the case for Ammy, she was very happy and anxious to go back to school.
She always gets up very early, cleans herself, puts on her uniform, eats breakfast and brushes her hair, without anyone forcing her, to go to school. What does cost a little is that I leave everything ready the day before, so that she doesn't forget anything when she leaves.
We are working on that, she is creating school routines again, but there is one that is costing her a bit and it is due to the school system that they have had here for years, since I remember that when I studied here in my first years of study, it was all the same.
Mi hija debe asistir a la escuela con un solo cuaderno, al cual llaman "Cuaderno de borrador", en Venezuela no es así, pero en otros países sí y así era cuando yo estudiaba aquí. Aún cuando le mandan una lista escolar dónde piden varios cuadernos, ella debe llevar solo ese.
En el aula de clase Ammy debe copiar todo en su cuaderno de borrador y al llegar a casa, ella debe pasar cada clase al cuaderno que corresponda, tiene un cuaderno de matemáticas, dos de lenguaje, ya que uno es de teoría y el otro de escritura, también cuaderno de ciencias sociales y otro de ciencias naturales, un cuaderno de Inglés y uno de cultura estética. Creo que son todos 😅
My daughter must attend school with only one notebook, which is called "Diary Notebook", in Venezuela it is not like that, but in other countries it is, and it was like that when I was studying here. Even when they send her a school list where they ask for several notebooks, she has to take only that one.
In the classroom Ammy must copy everything in her eraser notebook and when she gets home, she must pass each class to the corresponding notebook, she has a math notebook, two language notebooks, since one is for theory and the other for writing, also social sciences notebook and another one for natural sciences, an English notebook and one for aesthetic culture. I think they are all 😅
Ella aún no entiende y no acepta, el por qué debe llevar solo un cuaderno y tener que pasar la clase, cuando en el aula puede escribir directamente en el cuaderno que corresponde, pero la razón, es para que el cuaderno de la materia correspondiente que lo llaman "Cuaderno a limpio", se mantenga así como su nombre lo dice: Limpio.
Cada viernes Ammy debe llevar todos los cuadernos y presentar al día las asignaturas vistas. Además llevar sus carpetas para revisión y cada quince día tiene evaluaciones orales y escritas sobre lo aprendido durante esas dos semanas.
She still does not understand and does not accept why she must carry only one notebook and have to pass the class, when in the classroom she can write directly in the corresponding notebook, but the reason is so that the notebook of the corresponding subject, which is called "Clean Notebook", is kept as its name says: Clean.
Every Friday Ammy must bring all the notebooks and present up to date the subjects seen. She also has to bring her folders for review and every fifteen days she has oral and written evaluations on what she has learned during those two weeks.
Para ella y sus compañeros, no ha sido tan fácil adaptarse a todo este proceso, luego de solo hacer tareas en hojas, mediante clases virtuales y trabajar en los libros que les dieron. Libros que también llegarán pronto y dónde además de lo que ya hacen, deberán trabajar también.
Parece demasiada actividad para unos niños, pero desde mi punto de vista, no está mal 🙊 ya que al escribir dos veces la clase, retiene más lo aprendido, mejora su escritura, debido a que si no escribe bien, ella no va a entenderse y por ende no sabrá lo que escribió, y además crea disciplina.
En los cuadernos a limpio se escribe con bolígrafo azul y rojo, sin embargo la maestra a decidido aceptar que por ahora sea también a lápiz, ya que muchos niños, incluyendo a Ammy, deben mejorar su escritura. Si escriben a lápiz pueden corregir cualquier error que cometan.
For her and her classmates, it has not been so easy to adapt to this whole process, after only doing homework on sheets of paper, through virtual classes and working on the books they were given. Books that will also arrive soon and where in addition to what they already do, they will also have to work.
It seems too much activity for some children, but from my point of view, it is not bad 🙊 since by writing twice the class, she retains more what she learned, improves her writing, because if she does not write well, she will not understand and therefore will not know what she wrote, and also creates discipline.
In the clean notebooks they write with blue and red pens, but the teacher has decided to accept that for now it should also be in pencil, since many children, including Ammy, need to improve their writing. If they write in pencil they can correct any mistakes they make.
Todo esto es nuevo para Ammy, ya que cuando la pandemia por el COVID-19 comenzó, ella apenas iba a ingresar a 2do de Básica y aquí primero es como una preparatoria a lo que vendrá. Así que estuvo viendo segundo y tercero, de manera on-line, por lo cual le ha costado un poco adaptarse a esta rutina.
Los cuadernos de Ammy también deben llevar portadas identificando su nombre, materia y grado, les muestro una que le hice, no está terminada en la fotografía, ya luego la pintamos y quedó bonita 😊🤗
This is all new to Ammy, because when the COVID-19 pandemic started, she was just about to enter 2nd grade and here first grade is like a preparatory to what is to come. So she was seeing second and third, on-line, so it has been a little difficult for her to adapt to this routine.
Ammy's notebooks must also have covers identifying her name, subject and grade, I show you one I made for her, it is not finished in the picture, we painted it later and it looked nice 😊🤗
Como padres la motivamos a seguir adelante y explicamos que todo esto es un aprendizaje que le sirve a ella y que al final es por su bien, que el estudio es importante y que todo en la vida conlleva un esfuerzo, donde los resultados futuros serán agradecidos.
As parents we motivate her to keep going and explain that all this is a learning process that serves her and that in the end it is for her own good, that studying is important and that everything in life involves an effort, where future results will be appreciated.
PD: No solo Ammy sufre, papá y mamá odian las copias con recortes y les mandan todos los días a hacerlas. Debemos ayudarla a buscar palabras en el periódico, revistas y libros, si la copia es complicada hay palabras difíciles de hallar. Todo sea por Ammy 🤣🤦🏻♀️
PS: It's not only Ammy who suffers, mom and dad hate cut-out copies and send them every day to make them. We must help her look up words in the newspaper, magazines and books, if the copy is complicated there are hard words to find. Everything for Ammy 🤣 🤦🏻♀️
