I want to share with you my experience today with my little family, although we were missing an important member. Today Joaquin and Amelie had an exhibition at the clinic where they receive therapies. Amelie because of her condition needed a lot of help and Joaquín needed a little help as he hardly wants to say anything 😮💨.
My husband and I went with them and although it was a short time, about 40 minutes, we had a good time. The children did their presentation with our help, they represented the Oriente region, which is the Amazon region of Ecuador, which is where there are more indigenous people, so we showed a poster with the most important touristic part, the Typical dishes, Typical costumes and small brochures of the fauna and flora.
Amelie was dressed in blue, representing the indigenous women of the Oriente and with a ribbon with feathers (hardly visible in the photos) and Joaquín was only allowed to wear a guayuco or skirt representing the indigenous men, but he did not let himself take off his shirt 😅 it was very cold in the exhibition hall.
At the end of the exhibition Joaquín made the gesture and sound that the indigenous people make and everyone was delighted with him. Then he went to the area of the Coastal Region, which is where we live and where he was born, and there he started to pretend to cook 😅, so we took the opportunity to take pictures of him there too. The other children also made their presentations and for me they were all great, many with the help of their parents, but that's what it's all about, doing it as a team.

Les quiero compartir mi experiencia de hoy junto a mi pequeña familia, aunque nos faltó una integrante importante. Hoy día Joaquín y Amelie tuvieron una exposición en la clínica donde reciben terapias. Amelie por su condición necesitó ayuda completa y Joaquín un poco de ayuda también ya que apenas si quiere decir algo 😮💨.
Mi esposo y yo fuimos con ellos y aunque fue un tiempo corto, aproximadamente de 40 minutos, la pasamos bien. Los niños hicieron su presentación con nuestra ayuda, ellos representaban a la región de Oriente, que es la Amazonia del Ecuador, que es donde hay más indígenas, así que mostramos un cartel con la parte turística más importante, los platos Típicos, Trajes típicos y pequeños folletos de la fauna y flora.
Amelie fue vestida de Azul, representando a las mujeres indígenas del Oriente y con un lazo que tenía plumas (casi no se aprecia en las fotos) y Joaquín solo se dejó colocar un guayuco o falda representado a los hombres indígenas, pero no se dejó quitar la camisa 😅 hacia mucho frio en el salón de exposiciones.
Al final de la exposición Joaquín hizo el gesto y sonido que hacen los indígenas y todos quedaron encantados con él. Luego se pasó a la zona de la Región Costa, que es donde vivimos y él nació, allí se puso hacer como si cocinara 😅, así que aprovechamos a tomarle fotos allí también. Los otros niños también hicieron sus presentaciones y para mí todos estuvieron genial, muchos con la ayuda de los papás, pero de eso se trata, de hacerlo en equipo.
