Les cuento que estas vacaciones han sido una sorpresa total para Gaby quien contaba cada segundo para que terminara las clases y poder estar libre de todo compromiso escolar, sobretodo para no tener que levantarse todos los días a las 5:30am.
Resulta que con apenas unos días libres de vacaciones, ya tenía una agenda ocupada. Todo comenzó cuando una amiguita del colegio que aunque no estudian juntas, la invitó a un taller de bisutería.
La idea era muy buena, dos días haciendo un collar y una pulsera por día y todo por solo $5. Este taller Incluia todos los materiales, refrigerio y hasta un descuento si iba con una amiga, es decir como Gaby iba con la amiguita pagaba solo 4$, de verdad era muy difícil decir que no.
La actividad fue en una librería que está cerca de casa, así que nos fuimos en carrito sin preocuparnos por la gasolina. El horario es súper cómodo, de 3:30 pm a 5:30 pm, aunque ya saben cómo es eso, cuando están felices, nadie se quiere ir.
Lo más lindo fue que Gaby llegó tan emocionada que me dijo de una vez: “Mami, quiero ir a todos los talleres que hagan aquí” Y claro yo encantada, claro siempre que se pueda, porque en verdad considero que los talleres están bien, tomando en cuenta que no tengo que ir muy lejos y además se que todas las semanas algunos días los podrá dedicar en aprender cositas más productivas. En este último, además de que les enseñan con mucho cariño, les dejan escoger lo que prefieran para hacer sus accesorios y todo es súper moderno. Nada de cosas pasadas de moda.
Y como si fuera poco, las promociones son tentativas casi como un 2x1. Si llevas a una amiga, el precio baja aún más. Es una forma divertida, creativa y económica de pasar la tarde.
Esta semana pasada Gaby empezó hacer un taller de espejos decorados con foami moldeable y hoy justo lo terminó. Está feliz pues dió rienda suelta a su imaginación creando un montón de piezas que adornaban su espejo. Y yo también, porque verla disfrutar, aprender y compartir con otras niñas me llena el corazón.
Así que si tienen pequeños en casa y quieren que sus vacaciones sean más que solo pantallas o aburrimiento, no duden en probar algo así.

The idea was very good, two days making a necklace and a bracelet per day and all for only $5. This workshop included all the materials, refreshments and even a discount if she went with a friend, that is, since Gaby went with her friend she paid only $4, it was really hard to say no.
The activity was at a bookstore that is close to home, so we went by trolley without worrying about gas. The schedule is super comfortable, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, although you know how it is, when they are happy, nobody wants to leave.
The nicest thing was that Gaby arrived so excited that she told me all at once: "Mommy, I want to go to all the workshops they do here" And of course I was delighted, of course as long as I can, because I really consider that the workshops are good, taking into account that I don't have to go very far and also I know that every week some days can be dedicated to learn more productive things. In this last one, in addition to the fact that they teach you with a lot of love, they let you choose what you prefer to make your accessories and everything is very modern. No old-fashioned stuff.
And as if that weren't enough, the promotions are tempting, almost like a 2 for 1. If you bring a friend, the price drops even more. It's a fun, creative and economical way to spend the afternoon.
This past week Gaby started a workshop of mirrors decorated with moldable foami and today she just finished it. She is happy because she gave free rein to her imagination creating a lot of pieces that adorned her mirror. And me too, because seeing her enjoy, learn and share with other girls fills my heart.
