El mes de septiembre estuvo cargado de muchas emociones en especial para mis hijos. Primero que todo quiero darle gracias a Dios porque pudimos lograr salir de la rutina, nuevas aventuras y diversiones que teníamos bien merecidas después de mas de un año de encierro en el que por la pandemia covid-19 nuestro hogar se volvió el destino obligado. Soy de las que piensa que el hogar es el mejor anti estrés sobretodo cuando venimos de una rutina en el que la calle es la opción diaria. Por lo general antes de la Pandemia yo trabajaba hasta la 1:00 pm y mis hijos iban a la escuela hasta las 12:00 pm, luego nos encontrábamos almorzábamos y en seguida volvíamos a salir siempre a las actividades que los niños tenían planificadas por las tardes, para mi hijo Santiago era el Fútbol y para mi hija Gabriela la Danza. Luego de regreso realizábamos las actividades escolares que había pendientes y después de la cena ya prácticamente el día había terminado para los niños porque para las mamas en las noches siempre que se puede se adelanta todo para que al día siguiente nos alcance y rinda al máximo. Debo confesarles que era muy agotador, pero hoy en día esas cosas las extrañamos y a pesar de que nos gusta estar en casa nos hace mucha falta hacer ese tipo de actividades diarias, aunque fueran agotadoras e interminables las horas del día. Es ahí donde aplica el dicho que dice “Uno no sabe lo que tiene hasta que lo pierde”

I am one of those who thinks that home is the best anti-stress, especially when we come from a routine in which the street is the daily option. Usually before the Pandemic I worked until 1:00 pm and my children went to school until 12:00 pm, then we would meet for lunch and then we would always go back to the activities that the children had planned in the afternoons, for me. son Santiago was soccer and for my daughter Gabriela dance. Then back we would do the pending school activities and after dinner the day was practically over for the children because for the moms at night, whenever possible, everything was advanced so that the next day it would reach us and perform at its best. I must confess that it was very tiring, but nowadays we miss those things and even though we like to be at home we really need to do that kind of daily activities, although the hours of the day are still exhausting and endless. This is where the saying that says "You don't know what you have until you lose it" applies.
Nosotros vivimos a escasos minutos de la playa, pero cuando empezó la pandemia y a lo largo de más o menos un año no podíamos salir ni a la playa porque llegaban oficiales de seguridad y nos pedían salir de ella y en dos oportunidades fue así, así que los niños ya no quisieron volver más porque les daba miedo ver a los policías cerca, a pesar de que después de un tiempo por decreto del Gobierno daban unas horas en la semana flexible para esparcimiento y recreación de los mas pequeños de la casa, fueron muy pocas las veces que fuimos a la playa. Todo esto nos obligó a quedarnos más tiempo en casa al extremo que ya no quisiéramos salir de ella pues nos sentimos cómodos en nuestro hogar y es que cuando salimos el clima nos agobia ya que por ser isla caribeña las altas temperaturas son muy fuertes y con el calor que hace afuera los niños quieren regresar de inmediato a la casa entonces cuando entran a casa dicen ¡casita ya te extrañaba!

All this forced us to stay longer at home to the point that we no longer wanted to leave it because we felt comfortable in our home and that is because when we go out the weather overwhelms us since being a Caribbean island the high temperatures are very strong and with the It's hot outside, the children want to return home immediately so when they enter the house they say, little house I already missed you!
Pero por otro lado esta el tema escolar reconozco que para nadie fue fácil el tema de “escuela en casa, educación a distancia o una hogar una escuela” los niños sufren porque les hace falta su maestra, que sean ellas las que les expliquen de la mejor manera todos y cada uno de los temas, en nuestro caso a pesar de que tuve ayuda en casa con una maestra muy buena y además amiga no fue nada fácil para ellos ni para mí, casi me vuelvo loca ya que eran demasiadas las actividades que mandaban a diario cosa con la que nunca estuve de acuerdo ya que siento que no aprenden lo suficiente porque no han terminado de ver un tema ni analizarlo cuando ya estaban mandando otro entonces yo en lo particular siento que no aprenden lo suficiente pero gracias a Dios lo logramos y fue prueba superada, ya está por comenzar otro nuevo periodo escolar y tengo los nervios de punta pero mente positiva ya que en casa estamos renovados después de varios días de descanso. Además, soy de las que piensa que debemos darles gracias a Dios por un nuevo día, cuantas personas han fallecido producto al covid-19 y a otras enfermedades. Tenemos que tomar en cuenta que estamos viviendo una etapa única en el mundo y no estábamos preparados para ello. Solo queda adaptarnos a un nuevo ritmo de vida, disfrutar y aprovechar estos momentos para crear recuerdos y conectarnos con nuestros hijos y siempre inculcarles el respeto y el amor de la familia ese es un valor fundamental para formar al ser humano.

In addition, I am one of those who thinks that we should thank God for a new day, how many people have died due to covid-19 and other diseases. We have to take into account that we are living a unique stage in the world and we were not prepared for it. It only remains to adapt to a new rhythm of life, enjoy and take advantage of these moments to create memories and connect with our children and always instill in them the respect and love of the family that is a fundamental value to train the human being.
En el post anterior les comenté que mis cuñados invitaron por unos días a mis hijos a pasar unas cortas vacaciones a caracas que es la capital de Venezuela, en esta ciudad hay muchos lugares para conocer, pero por la Pandemia todo ha cambiado y hay que adaptarse a salir solo en los días de las semanas flexibles y el tiempo corre, pero igual mis hijos felices de poder compartir con sus primos y tíos durante ese tiempo.

Estuve planificando su recibimiento y a su llegada al aeropuerto los recibimos su papa y yo con un cartel de bienvenida que había hecho días antes, así como globos. En este viaje falto el primo Samuel quien por compromisos con sus actividades deportivas tenia varios torneos de fútbol los cuales días después fueron suspendidos por estar positivo al covid-19 varios compañeros del equipo y fue así como una semana después lo teníamos aquí en casa para así completar el equipo perfecto.

También nos encontramos con Daniel, el hermano mayor de mis hijos, con el cenamos unas ricas hamburguesas y de ahí a la casa a descansar para recargar energías y así comenzar lo que serian estas inolvidables vacaciones en la Isla con los primos en casa por 15 días.

Quiero decirles que estaba feliz de tener a mis niños de vuelta a casa después de 18 días sin ellos y mucho mas feliz de tener a mis sobrinos en casa, ellos desde que tienen 3-4 años vienen todos los años a pasar vacaciones a la Isla, llegan a la casa son unos niños maravillosos de los cuales hoy estoy orgullosa de su crecimiento y los bien portados que son, super colaboradores y adoran a sus primos y tíos. Hoy en día Alexandra tiene 13 años y Samuel tiene 12 años. Los adoro me encanta tenerlos en casa. Así que desde el primer momento hice lo posible para que la pasaran bien. En el próximo post espero hacerles un resumen de lo bien que la pasamos durante esos días llenos de alegrías y mucha diversión como premio de haber estudiado tanto y haber sacado excelentes notas y sobretodo de superar desde casa un año escolar duro.
