“What if we won’t be able to have kids?”
This is the question I asked Huan a lot of times before we tied the knot. I kept on asking him this question because for a long time, I am struggling with hormonal imbalance and PCOS, so getting pregnant is going to be a challenge for us.
Between me and Huan, Huan loves to have kids more than I do. I love kids too but with my condition and to avoid the hurt, I already accepted the possibility that I won’t be able to have a baby. I keep on telling myself that my nephew and nieces are enough and it’s better this way because once they cry, I can always return them to their parents. Haha.
And here we are on February 2022 - 18 months after the marriage, I felt easily tired and sleepy, so friends told me to take that pregnancy test kit and viola! - I was pregnant! (Thank you Lord for this answered prayer 🙏🏽). I was in disbelief and was still in denial. I can’t believe that a little human was forming inside my belly. 🥹

I did not share the news to Huan just yet because I want to surprise him and make it special. It’s perfect for a monthsary gift. Valentines is also in the corner and the following month will be our wedding anniversary too. Haha. I have 3 dates to choose but I end up breaking the beautiful news to Huan before Valentines day.
From the day I knew I was pregnant, I was secretly taking photos of Huan with the positive pregnancy test result. 🤭
It so happened that one of my BBFs will be wed and we need to reserve a hotel the night before the wedding. It's Valentine season so I ordered a bouquet of flowers for Huan. This is the inspiration design for my order. It's perfect because you can’t see the flowers unless you open the box and I can also put the pregnancy test kit somewhere at the center, so when Huan opens the box, he will see the pregnancy test kit with the flowers.

Finally, it’s D-DAY! I lied to Huan about the flowers. I told him I ordered the flowers for my best friend to congratulate her on her wedding. He has no idea that the flowers are for him.
The delivery man came to the hotel's lobby. I got the bouquet but was a bit disappointed because the design was not what I was expecting.
The flowers were beautiful but my plan on how to surprise Huan was ruined a little, but the show must go on. It will not stop me from surprising Huan. I found a small compartment where I can hide the kit and Huan will never notice. 😅
Everything was ready, and there I go. Huan was not feeling so well and was sleeping. I woke him up, told him I have something to show him (the video compilation of stolen shots of him with the pregnancy test kit) and gave him the flowers. I know he was not expecting anything because it's not yet our monthsary, nor our anniversary, and not yet valentines day. Haha.
I borrowed his phone to record his reaction. I showed him the video from my phone. After Huan finished watching the video, his face lit up (as if he was healed from being sick haha) and hugged my tummy. 😆 I then told him the bouquet was for him and showed him the positive pregnancy test kit. We then took photos to record this happy day.
