Saludos a todas las madres y padres de la colmena, hoy se llevó a cabo un torneo promocional de ajedrez en academia Talentos en mi ciudad Carora, fue un torneo de categorías infantil (hasta 12 años) y cadete (de 13 a 16 años), fue abierto y gratuito, es decir, que podrían participar niños que no necesariamente pertenecieran a la academia, la finalidad es promocionar o dar a conocer aun más la academia en la ciudad para que atraer a más niños interesados en aprender.

El torneo comenzó a casi a las 9 de la mañana y finalizó a las 11, fue un torneo bajo el modo suizo, en el cual las partidas se jugaron de 10 minutos, fueron 5 rondas, como siempre partida ganada obtiene un punto y por hacer tablas se obtiene medio punto, en esta oportunidad Rafael ganó las 5 partidas y quedó en primer lugar de la tabla, sin embargo, como era un torneo promocional todos los niños obtendrán un certificado de participación.

Fue una mañana muy bonita para compartir con los demás participantes, no hubo tanta tensión como en otros torneos a pesar de se abordó con la seriedad que amerita, creo que todos los niños disfrutaron bastante las partidas y además el compartir de refrigerios, el momento que capturó la atención de todos fue la partida de desempate qué hubo para obtener el primer lugar de la categoría de cadetes, fue muy emocionante porque solo esa fue a 5 minutos y los chicos pusieron todo de sí hasta el último momento.

Greetings to all the mothers and fathers of the hive. Today, a promotional chess tournament was held at the Talentos Academy in my city, Carora. It was a tournament for children (up to 12 years old) and cadets (13 to 16 years old). It was open and free, meaning that children who didn't necessarily belong to the academy could participate. The purpose was to promote or make the academy even more well-known in the city to attract more children interested in learning.

As always, a winning game earns one point, and a draw earns half a point. This time, Rafael won all 5 games and placed first in the standings. However, since it was a promotional tournament, all children will receive a certificate of participation.

It was a very enjoyable morning to spend time with the other participants. There wasn't as much tension as in other tournaments, although the tournament was approached with the seriousness it deserves. I think all the kids really enjoyed the games and sharing coolers. The moment that captured everyone's attention was the tiebreaker for first place in the cadet category. It was very exciting because it was only five minutes long, and the kids gave it their all until the very end.
