Saludos! es primera vez que publico en el reto de la semana de #Motherhood y lo hago con el día 6, el cual se trata de elegir una celebridad que sea mamá y me guste y decir por qué. Es difícil escoger una celebridad sabiendo que la mayoría de las mujeres que seguimos del ámbito artístico, ejemplo por la música o el cine son madres, entonces es de deducir que si son personas buenas también deben ser buenas madres, pero en este caso escogí una celebridad de Hollywood quien yo solo conocía por pocas películas y de cuya vida personal no había sabido nada hasta hace poco.

En el video mencionaba un poco de la historia de la actriz y explicaba la razón por la cual no volvió a aparecer en muchas películas, esto es debido a que sufre de esclerosis múltiple, una enfermedad degenerativa que provoca poco a poco que las personas no tengan control de su cuerpo por decirlo de laguna manera, porque afecta el sistema nervioso central, en consecuencia presentan dificultad para caminar, para hablar y muchas otras dificultades, esta enfermedad no tiene cura y a pesar de que ella presentaba muchos síntomas que la llevaron a visitar muchos médicos en el pasado ninguno de ellos le recomendó hacerse pruebas para este padecimiento.

In the video I mentioned a little of the history of the actress and explained the reason why she did not appear again in many movies, this is because she suffers from multiple sclerosis, a degenerative disease that causes little by little that people have no control of their body so to speak, because it affects the central nervous system, consequently they have difficulty walking, talking and many other difficulties, this disease has no cure and although she had many symptoms that led her to visit many doctors in the past none of them recommended her to get tested for this condition.
Ella que apenas tiene 48 años actualmente, dijo públicamente que tenia esclerosis en 2018, desde entonces gracias al apoyo de sus amigas sobre todo de Sarah Michelle Gellar ella hace labor social con su imagen, es decir es activista, ella ha aceptado su enfermedad y no se esconde del ojo público, anda caminando con su bastón y asistencia, ella sabe que con su ejemplo esta visibilizando a las personas que sufren de la misma enfermedad, dando a entender que necesitan empatía por parte de las personas que la rodean, ella es una madre luchadora, que sigue ejerciendo su rol de madre, obviamente al ser una celebridad tiene ventajas económicas que no todos los pacientes tienen, pero ella lo utiliza para buscar apoyo para esas personas.

Desde que supe de la vida personal de esta actriz, creo que la respeto aun mas como ser humano, porque aunque suene cruel muchas personas del mundo del espectáculo no superan problemas personales como ejemplo un rompimiento amoroso y esto los lleva a perder la dirección de su vida, pero Selma está pasando por pruebas muy duras con su enfermedad y aun así recientemente trabajó para Netflix en Another Life (aun no veo la serie).
