Yeah, in most countries, schools resume around September/October.
A few weeks ago, I spoke with a church member of mine who relocated to the UK early this year. As we were talking, she mentioned that her kids were on break and it happened to be the same period when my son's school was on break.
This made me think that despite being different countries, they probably have the same holiday period and resumption date, even if there is a slight difference.

Before school resumed, my sister and I planned to visit the market so we could get our kids a new lunch bag and school bag.
I planned to buy just a lunch bag for my son because his school bag is still okay.
However, my sister bought new school bags and lunch bags for her kids.
Usually, before school resumes, my son's dad always ensures that the total amount for the school bill for the term is made available and I remit the payment to his school account. This way, my son isn't denied anything he needs in class.
In addition to that, I also make sure that I stock the house with food items that will last for two weeks, minimum one week, and also get some snacks ready for his snacks period at school.
We are all witness to how difficult and expensive things have become, inflation is on another level and as the day goes by, it doesn't seem like it will get better soon.
The price for so many foods and ingredients has increased. Now we have to spend double to get less. Let me explain.
The quantity of commodities decreased and the prices increased. It is a big concern.
I must not forget to mention the hike in school fees as well. 20% was added to the previous amount we paid the previous term.

The increased cost of things led to the increase in the tuition fee.
It is very frustrating, the cost of living seems to be choking the living to death. Imagine that.
Well, children are blessed to not have to go through these worries, all they know is eat, play, and sleep
My son was excited to resume school, the night before the resumption day, I got everything that he needed ready. I pressed his uniform that had been inside his box for llond time. They would look smart on him when he puts them on.
Finally, everyone in the compound could rest as there were no children screaming their lungs out, jumping here and there and making the adults talk too much.
Now that school has resumed, no more sleeping late and waking up late.
Ever since school resumed, I have tried to make my son understand why he needs to sleep early so he won't feel as though I am depriving him of night play time hehe.
When children go to bed early, they will be able to rest well and be prepared for the next day.
Every morning, I wake up very early to prepare his breakfast and a nice meal for his lunch.
After the closing hour, when he returns, I try to encourage him to do his homework first before going out to play with friends.
Back to School
Back to school can be crazy and exciting too for the kids and parents.
The kids get to meet their schoolmates and classmates, while the parents who work from home get to spend long hours alone without distractions from the children.
I thank God for the sustenance, despite how difficult things are, we are still pushing. And the part payment of the bills has been taken care of.
Now, the new routine is to wake up early in the morning, and get breakfast for my son.
The next thing is to pack his lunch bag, dress him up, have him finish up his breakfast and take him to school.
After school photo
After school, we do his homework together. I noticed that sometimes he feels lazy about doing his homework and it makes me very mad at myself. However, I realized that I would be helping him if all I do is shout when he is getting it wrong. So what I do is to control myself and calmly explain his homework to him.
How has Back to school been for you?
