Cada 21 de marzo se celebra el día mundial del síndrome de down, una fecha para resaltar la importancia de la inclusión y seguir promoviendo educación para los niños y adultos que tienen está alteración genética. Su contribución a la sociedad es tan valiosa que ayudamos a crear independencia y autonomía, vale la pena resaltar que el síndrome de down no es más que una alteración en el cromosoma 21 lo cual produce problemas a su salud; se evidencia física y cognitivamente en quienes lo tienen, sin embargo, esto no dificulta para nada su crecimiento mientras esté constantemente en evaluaciones médicas y atención especial. En tiempo pasado los doctores determinaban una duración aproximada de vida para las personas con síndrome de down, pero los nuevos avances medicinales han ayudado al prolongamiento y calidad de vida, esto es completamente hermoso.
Hoy, después de días planificando una hermosa actividad recreativa para celebrar el día mundial del síndrome de down, se logró con mucho entusiasmo.No solo era pasar un día diferente, era aprender de ellos; mi especialidad es educación preescolar en aulas regulares y, aunque hace muchos años hice suplencias en colegios con diversidades especiales, pues no es igual cuando no mantenemos contacto continuo con ellos. Con ayuda de la especialista decidimos hacer circuitos basados en estaciones para desarrollar diferentes áreas de aprendizaje, entre ellas la autonomía y lateralidad, así como noción espacial y seguir instrucciones.

With the help of the specialist, we decided to make circuits based on stations to develop different learning areas, including autonomy and laterality, as well as spatial notion and following instructions.
Salir de lo convencional es importante, aprendemos y nos informamos en conjunto, hubo tips para los padres. Aunque llevan años criando a sus hijos con alguna diversidad, siempre hay algo nuevo que aprender y lo más importante es no sobre protegerlos tanto y crearles independencia, hay una palabra real y cruel a su vez y es la siguiente: "No duraremos toda la vida" ,es por ello que hay que educarlos para el futuro, educarlos para la vida, para lo fácil y difícil.
Mi experiencia como madre y docente me ha enseñado tanto, pero también es cierto que me falta mucho; la vida es un constante aprendizaje y solo debemos disfrutarla mientras se van presentando situaciones. Hoy no solamente compartimos con estudiantes con síndrome de down, también con dificultad del aprendizaje y una amiga especial invidente con la cual me tomo hacer una dinámica guiándo el recorrido y las acciones que indicaba la canción.

Today we not only share with students with down syndrome, but also with learning difficulties and a special blind friend with whom I take a dynamic guiding the route and the actions indicated by the song.
En el circuito tuvimos alrededor de diez estaciones la cuáles contaban con una de rodar por el campo y tener contacto directo con nuestro entorno, luego los chicos se colocaban una camisa y debían abotonar, está fue muy especial debido que ellos desarrollan su motricidad fina, coordinación y motivamos a lograr el objetivo que era hacer el trabajo completo. Una de las chicas salto de alegría nada más por el hecho que pudo abotonar la mitad de su camisa, más adelante saltaban en un pie; así como también permanecer dentro de un aro y la docente les indicaba moverse a la derecha o izquierda, dar un paso adelante y detrás o estar dentro y fuera del aro.
Como docente no puedo negarme a vivir esta clase de experiencias, pues siento que la sonrisa de una persona es tan importante para mí y ser parte de esa felicidad me llena de alegría y satisfacción. Dios nos hizo con un propósito, somos iguales ante sus ojos y es por ello que debemos hacer el bien, enseñar a nuestros hijos que todos tenemos derechos y respetarnos unos a otros es la clave para que el mundo avance sin odio y empatía.
