Behind every child who believed in himself are his parents who believed in him and had faith in him first.

It was last June 29 when the moving up ceremony happened. It was one of the best and happiest days of Adam and so too with me. Seeing my little man reaching it until the end of his kindergarten journey made me so happy and proud of him. I knew what he had been through wasn't easy at all because the kind of study that they had was only through modular learning and it was only a month before their graduation that the limited face-to-face class had been implemented.
I still remember during the first day of his limited face-to-face class, he cried hard because he wasn't used to that kind of setup since he got used to staying at home with us while doing his modular study. He wasn't used to mingling with other kids, especially those that don't speak the same dialect as him but his teacher advised me not to worry about it because he will soon get used to it and surely he did. With it, I'm happy that he was able to conquer his fear of facing other people. That was a great achievement already.

Seeing him wearing their school sash (we called it sablay), graduation medal, and holding his certificate made me emotional. I'm very proud to see him in those and I will never get tired of looking at his graduation photos.
I thought that I could relax by going to school after their moved up because it was vacation time already but it didn't happen. A week after the event, Adam's name was mentioned in our kindergarten group chat. He was one of those kindergarten pupils who will have their summer class but actually, the memorandum stated that all pupils must have class but the teachers only choose those students who are not good in school.
Adam knows how to write, read a few words, knows how to count, and already know the alphabet but the only problem was he was too shy to participate in school. So when his name was included in the list, I immediately agreed to it. It was an advantage on Adam's part because I believe that having this summer class will let him gain more knowledge and by that time I am hoping that he will learn how to participate in class since their teacher can monitor them one by one. After all, they are only 15 pupils who got selected by their teacher.

This was one of their class session when their teacher teaches them some CVC words. Aside from the CVC words that were taught to them, their teacher also taught them how to count, and the spelling of those numbers in words, then the pronunciation of the letters and words are also taught to them. Day by day, I saw a little progress in each student.

Just this week, the kindergarten had their recitation. Adam was first to be called and at the beginning of reading in front, he was about to cry but I encourage him to speak up and read. He successfully finished reading the words that were written on the blackboard. He was praised by his teacher for bravely facing his fears and being able to read the words properly though his voice was sometimes too low to be heard.

After the recitation, they had their picture taking. These pictures were sent in our group chat and those were sent too to the Division head because every day, kids' and teachers' performances are monitored by the school heads.
