Hay muchas cosas en la vida que nunca vas a saborear si no las vives tú mismo, por eso hay que vivir la experiencia al máximo, y una de ellas es el gran placer y privilegio de ser padre de mis pequeños, Marialex y Alexander, una de las cosas más maravillosas que me han pasado en la vida. Este nuevo rol me hizo crecer como ser humano, sacar a flote sentimientos nunca antes experimentados, saber que ya no vives para ti, que tienes una nueva razón para luchar y dar lo mejor, saber que un ser indefenso depende 100% de ti.
There are many things in life that you will never taste if you don't live them yourself, that is why you have to live the experience to the fullest, and one of them is the great pleasure and privilege of being the father of my little ones, Marialex and Alexander, one of the most wonderful things that has happened to me in my life. This new role made me grow as a human being, bring out feelings never before experienced, knowing that you no longer live for yourself, that you have a new reason to fight and give the best, knowing that a helpless being depends 100% on you.
Tenerlos en brazos, es un motivo que me hace derramar lágrimas de alegría, ver su primera sonrisa, sentir que ese hermoso ser se siente seguro a tu lado, y que nunca quiere que lo dejes. Para mí, lo mejor de ser padre, es estar en primera fila en cada avance significativo, que logran en su corta vida, sabiendo que pueden contar conmigo para cualquier situación que se presente, y lo que me llena de satisfacción es que ellos lo saben, porque no dudan en acudir a mí, ni un minuto.
To have them in your arms is a reason that makes me shed tears of joy, to see their first smile, to feel that this beautiful being feels safe by your side, and that he/she never wants you to leave him/her. For me, the best thing about being a father is to be in the front row in every significant advance that they achieve in their short life, knowing that they can count on me for every situation that may arise, and what fills me with satisfaction is that they know it, because they do not hesitate to come to me for a minute.
Convertirme en su superhéroe ha sido lo mejor que me ha podido pasar, resolver situaciones que para ellos parecen imposibles, me llena de felicidad, convertirme en su cómplice e intentar ser para ellos un padre ideal, un amigo, su confidente, alguien con quien jugar, el de las ideas sorprendentes que les asombra y con el que siempre quieren estar.
Becoming their super hero has been the best thing that could happen to me, solving situations that for them seem impossible, it fills me with happiness, becoming their accomplice and trying to be for them an ideal father, a friend, their confidant, someone to play with, the one with the surprising ideas that amazes them and with whom they always want to be.
Ser padre me ha enseñado que algo importante es proporcionarles lo necesario, pero nunca jamás, dejar de estar a su lado, compartiendo sonrisas y, como nunca falta, alguna lágrima, sumergiéndome en su mundo de fantasía, es un placer que nunca conocería, si no fuera el padre que mis hijos querrían.
Being a father has taught me that something important is to provide them with the necessary things, but never ever, to stop being by their side, sharing smiles and, as never lacking, some tears, immersing myself in their fantasy world, is a pleasure that I would never know, if I were not the father my children would want.
Mi experiencia como padre me hace comprender lo que mis padres sienten por mí, incluso cuando soy mayor, siempre están ahí para guiarme. Por eso siento ese maravilloso vínculo que me une a mis hijos, un vínculo de amor, un sentimiento que me inspira y me mueve hoy a seguir siendo el padre que mis hijos esperan.
My experience as a father makes me understand how my parents feel about me, even when I am old, they are always there to guide me. For this reason I feel that wonderful bond that unites me with my children, a bond of love, a feeling that inspires me and moves me today to continue being the father that my children expect.
