There was this moment when I was in the kitchen, busy cooking our lunch.
So I reminded my hubby to keep an eye on our two little ones, Aiden and Ryzen.
It was just the two of us at home, so we used to trust each other when it came to monitoring the two.
As I was cooking, I could imagine the kids either playing with their toys or watching a cartoon on the screen.
Then I realized, I needed sugar.
I went back inside, and that's when I saw Aiden.
Sitting there with the petroleum jelly jar, both his tiny hands were completely covered in it. 🤦🏼♀️
His face was so serious, so focused, like he had just discovered something amazing.
He's rubbing his hands together, so satisfied with how smooth and "moisturized" they feel.
What made it even more intense was the way he was drooling like he was seconds away from tasting it.
Good thing my mommy reflexes kicked in all at once.
I felt panic, but not the full-blown scream kind.
Just that mild mommy panic and your hands already know what to do.
I rushed in, instantly started cleaning the mess, wiping his hands, his legs, the floor, and everything else that looked instantly shiny.
And there is his Dad, documenting this unforgettable moment.
Actually, I couldn't help but blame my hubby. But he immediately defended himself, pointing out to Ryzen that he had already told him to remove the petroleum jelly earlier, before Aiden could get to it.
Ryzen is probably wondering how all of a sudden it became his fault. Lol.
What a mess!
But this is motherhood, an everyday deal with kids' experiments.
Until my next moments...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
