Cómo padres primerizos nos hace feliz poder disfrutar de estos eventos escolares dónde se honra a un integrante de nuestra familia y en esta oportunidad le tocó a mi esposo ser el homenajeado por la celebración del día del padre.
Sabemos que aquí en Venezuela se celebrará este domingo 15 de junio, pero es costumbre en los colegios celebrarlo el viernes porque el fin de semana es descanso y cada quien tiene que celebrarlo con su familia.
As first time fathers it makes us happy to enjoy these school events where a member of our family is honored and this time it was my husband's turn to be the honoree for the celebration of Father's Day.
We know that here in Venezuela it will be celebrated this Sunday, June 15, but it is customary in schools to celebrate it on Friday because the weekend is a rest day and everyone has to celebrate it with their families.
No recuerdo que durante mi etapa escolar hiciéramos este tipo de celebraciones en la escuela, siempre nos tocaba hacer alguna manualidad y mi papá y mi mamá se hacían los sorprendidos, pero nunca los ví en la escuela disfrutando de algún acto en especial, así que me agrada mucho la idea de ir a compartir con nuestros hijos y además verlos cantar o bailar algo para nosotros, aunque no pude ir en esta oportunidad porque obviamente le tocaba a mi esposo, le dije que tomara algunas fotografías para el recuerdo pues ya sabemos que los años pasan volando y es un privilegio disfrutar de estos días mientras ellos están así de chiquitos y causan tanta ternura.
I don't remember that during my school years we did this kind of celebrations at school, we always had to do some crafts and my mom and dad would act surprised, but I never saw them at school enjoying any special event, so I really like the idea of going to share with our children and also see them sing or dance something for us, Although I could not go this time because obviously it was my husband's turn, I told him to take some pictures for the memory because we know that the years fly by and it is a privilege to enjoy these days while they are so small and cause so much tenderness.
Mi esposo tuvo que pedir un permiso en el trabajo para poder asistir parte de la mañana, yo me desperté muy temprano para hacerles el desayuno y tener todo listo para que ellos llegaran puntuales. Me gustó mucho que mi hijo pudiera ver a su papá en el colegio ya que he sido yo hasta el momento que he estado en todo lo que tenga que ver con su escolaridad por mi flexibilidad en el horario, yo lo inscribí y también soy quien lo llevo y también lo voy a buscar, así que Aarón estaba muy emocionado de ver a su papá en ese entorno y siento que eso es algo que el nunca va a olvidar.
Espero que los padres de esta comunidad puedan pasar un día muy ameno y sobretodo que disfruten a sus hijos si lo tienen cerca y le den todo el amor y ese ejemplo que ellos necesitan.

My husband had to take a leave of absence from work to be able to attend part of the morning, I woke up very early to make them breakfast and have everything ready for them to arrive on time. I really liked that my son was able to see his dad at the school since I have been the one who has been in everything that has to do with his schooling because of my flexibility in the schedule, I enrolled him and I am also the one who drives him and also goes to pick him up, so Aaron was very excited to see his dad in that environment and I feel that this is something that he will never forget.
I hope the fathers of this community can have a very enjoyable day and above all enjoy their children if they have him around and give him all the love and that example that they need.
