Continuamos en el mes de mayo, también nombrado en Venezuela como el mes de las flores; por la cantidad de árboles que en esta época florecen y adornan los paisajes de nuestra tierra, mismas que a su vez son usadas para demostrar afecto a un ser tan especial como lo es una madre, a quien también celebramos a lo largo de este quinto mes del año.
We continue in the month of May, also known in Venezuela as the month of flowers, because of the number of trees that bloom and adorn the landscapes of our land, which in turn are used to show affection to a being as special as a mother, whom we also celebrate throughout this fifth month of the year.
Como muchos saben aquí la celebración se dá el segundo domingo del mes, que esta vez tocó el pasado 14 de mayo, sin embargo como un solo día no es suficiente para homenajear y enaltecer a un ser tan maravilloso, a lo largo de mes es habitual que se lleven a cabo diferentes eventos para festejar y agradecer a las madres.
As many know here the celebration takes place on the second Sunday of the month, which this time was May 14, however, as a single day is not enough to honor and praise such a wonderful being, throughout the month it is common to carry out different events to celebrate and thank mothers.
Such is the case of the music academy and school to which my daughter Mariana belongs, where they organized very moving recitals that allowed mothers, fathers and the whole family to appreciate and enjoy the talent and charisma of the youngest members of the family.
La primera cita tuvo lugar el jueves 11 de mayo en la Academia de música M° Germán Segura, en la que mi pequeña interpretó el bolero Cien años, pieza que anteriormente compartí aquí con ustedes por lo que hoy solo les mostraré una foto. Una anécdota muy graciosa de ese día fue que entre tantas ocupaciones se me había olvidado que había presentación, así que salí en la tarde como de costumbre a llevar a los niños a sus clases de música y cuándo llegué al salón de ensayo la profesora me lo recordó, así que nos tocó regresarnos rápidamente a la casa para cambiarnos y llegar a tiempo al recital. 🙈
The first date took place on Thursday, May 11 at the M° Germán Segura Music Academy, where my little girl performed the bolero Cien Años, a piece that I previously shared with you here, so today I will only show you a photo. A very funny anecdote of that day was that among so many occupations I had forgotten that there was a presentation, so I went out in the afternoon as usual to take the children to their music classes and when I arrived at the rehearsal room the teacher reminded me, so we had to return quickly to the house to change and arrive on time for the recital. 🙈
El segundo evento se llevó a cabo el viernes 12 en las instalaciones del Palacio Episcopal, una cómoda sala que se escogió para presentar el concierto Gracias a Ti de la academia Germán Segura, en esta ocasión con los alumnos de canto. Mariana interpretó la canción Brindis de Thalia, que según sus palabras era dedicada como un brindis para mí, por ser una gran madre y una gran mujer 🥹❤️. Un momento muy conmovedor que hizo correr unas cuantas lágrimas por mi rostro emocionado y feliz al ver como ha crecido mi niña, no solo de tamaño, sino como músico y como ese ser tan especial que es mi estrella en la noche y la luz de mis días.
The second event took place on Friday the 12th at the Episcopal Palace, a comfortable room that was chosen to present the concert Gracias a Ti of the Germán Segura Academy, this time with the singing students. Mariana performed the song Brindis by Thalia, which according to her words was dedicated as a toast to me, for being a great mother and a great woman 🥹❤️. A very touching moment that made a few tears run down my face excited and happy to see how my little girl has grown, not only in size, but as a musician and as that special being who is my star in the night and the light of my days.
Her brother and her father gave her a bar and applauded her as well as each child who bravely performed a song dedicated to the mothers present and to those who have departed from this world.💖
Cómo recuerdo de ese día tan bonito al finalizar el concierto subimos al escenario y a petición de los niños nos tomamos una linda foto familiar. 🥰
As a souvenir of that beautiful day at the end of the concert we went on stage and at the request of the children we took a nice family photo._ 🥰
El tercer y último concierto ocurrió el sábado 13 en las instalaciones de la Escuela de Música Gómez Cardiel, en el cual los integrantes de la Escuela de piano del Sistema de Orquestas núcleo Cumaná deleitaron al público presente con el Concierto en honor a las Madres donde se interpretaron varias melodías en su mayoría románticas, se realizaron rifas y finalmente disfrutamos de varios aperitivos.
The third and last concert took place on Saturday 13th at the Gómez Cardiel Music School, where the members of the Piano School of the Cumaná Orchestras System delighted the audience with the Concert in honor of Mothers where several melodies, mostly romantic, were performed, raffles were held and finally we enjoyed several appetizers.
Esta actuación además tuvo un toque muy especial porque Mariana cerró el concierto, interpretando un vals venezolano denominado Un Día Feliz, de José A. Gómez y fue acompañada por dos alumnos de la orquesta quienes ejecutaron el cuatro y las maracas. Ella estaba muy emocionada por este logro, pues era la primera vez que formaba parte de un ensamble y además le dieron la oportunidad de cerrar con broche de oro esa sentida presentación.
This performance also had a very special touch because Mariana closed the concert, playing a Venezuelan waltz called Un Día Feliz, by José A. Gómez and was accompanied by two students of the orchestra who played the cuatro and the maracas. She was very excited about this achievement, since it was the first time she was part of an ensemble and also gave her the opportunity to close with a flourish this heartfelt presentation.
De ese fin de semana musical me quedaron muchos recuerdos gratos, instantes que quedarán grabados por siempre en mi mente y en mi corazón y que también he querido dejar plasmados en mi blog. ❤️
From that musical weekend I had many pleasant memories, moments that will remain forever engraved in my mind and in my heart and that I also wanted to capture in my blog. ❤️
Saber que mis hijos son felices, que practican un disciplina que les gusta y se están preparando para ser grandes músicos es un regalo invaluable, que en este mes y en cualquier época del año valoro en gran medida, pues ellos merecen lo mejor de este mundo.
Knowing that my children are happy, that they are practicing a discipline they love and are preparing to be great musicians is a priceless gift, which in this month and at any time of the year I value greatly, because they deserve the best in this world.
