The new obsession!
Social media has rolled over our life in a very short time and that's very interesting yet scary. Some years back when social media started, I was very anti towards it. When my husband told me he wanted to open a Facebook account I strictly told him not to do that. He tried to convince me that this was only for our family overseas and for our nearest friend, so that they can see pics of our kids and follow us. It took some years and when I started to learn about facebook we agreed to open an account.
From a very young age I liked reading informative articles instead of novels and stories. The good thing is that all the information we used to get from newspapers, libraries and from other resources, can now be reached very easily on websites, facebook, instagram and youtube. You can now get knowledge by sitting at home which is absolutely great.
There are many good things you can learn from social media and if you are capable of learning and helping others that's even better. But with all this social media goodies comes great responsibilities. My husband at that time told me and now also tells the kids. Only you are responsible for what you post on any social media channel and what kind of information you want to spread.
Getting in to youtube videos
Last year when we were about to shift to a new apartment. I started searching for tips on how to pack for moving on youtube.
It's not that I don't have any experience in moving, we have shifted 4 times in our 18 years of marriage. I just wanted to know if there was something new I could learn. I like to learn new storage ideas, packing ideas and watch other videos that can help me learn things for my personal use. And soon I realized that it was something in these videos that was satisfying. I could sit for hours with my daughter and watch all these videos on home makeovers, moving ideas, decoration ideas, etc.

After picture, Ilma painted this for her drawer, to put small things.
used an emety bottle to make a pencil holder
First I could not understand why people make these videos. The funny part is that some videos are even silent, which is really funny. But as I started to watch it I knew there was something exciting about it. It started to become my new obsession to watch all the home makeover videos and unwrapping videos etc.
For me a whole world of learning in the form of watching videos on youtube and searching on google has opened up. If you get an obsession like this, I dont think it's harmful. I have learned a lot of things just by watching different videos and reading online. Some of my abilities has also improved and made my life much easier.
I am very happy about my new learning sources. Do share with me if you also have any positive learning through social media.
Hope you have a happy learning, bye.
