Weight gain is expected of every mom both during pregnancy and after child birth, however it is also expected that between 6months to 12months of postpartum according to the information I gathered during my antenatal days, we begin to loose some accumulated weight/fat and gradually return back to our pre-pregnancy weight.
Unlike my past two pregnancies and child birth, I normally return back to my normal shape just within 6months postpartum, but this particular one, my third baby, I find myself adding weight as time progresses. My baby is already 10months plus and I have waited to behold my pre-pregnancy weight all to no avail.
Maybe the reason is not far fetched! though not too sure if that should be the sole responsibility of my ordeal. Like I said in my previous post, this my third baby has refused to eat solid food after the 6months exclusive breastfeeding, he prefers just breast milk and he sucks at short intervals including midnights and everywhere we go. This has made me to always feel hungry so often and thus eats more food than usual. Yes , I eat very often but my baby too sucks so often, still wondering where the weight gain is coming from though!
Motherhood comes with lots of sacrifice, personally I don't like the huge weight I have added in the course of doing my motherhood roles neither does my partner like it too but it seems I have no option than to keep exercising patience for my baby to pick up his eating habit wherever he kept it.
So mothers, how was your postpartum weight gain like? Were you able to deal with it? What measures did you take or it happened to you naturally? What of the postpartum belly fat? How long can a CS mom stay before working on it? If you have any of the answers to my questions, please feel free to drop it in the comment section and I will gladly appreciate your response.
